I have some fun crafty inspiration for you…a country cute Flip Flap Shutter card. As you pull the top tab, the card opens up to reveal the messages behind the shutter. Now this is a cool fun fold card don’t you think?

I learned this fold from Jan B. Jan’s was a 5″ x 7″ finished card so I made adjustments for it to finish 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ so it would easily pop into a standard medium envelope.

Get everything you need to create easy valentines with the Sweet Talk Suite Collection. With these products, you can also make cute tags, cards, and treat boxes. If this delightful product suite is not already on your gotta have it list, I highly recommend adding it. 

For my project, I decided to create a super cute little treat box that is perfect to slide in a couple of Ghirardelli Squares. Would you believe this easy to create box is made using no adhesives to create the box itself? Super cool right?!?!?!

I learned this box from Diemonds team member Sheila Tatum. She created a version of this box for one of our team swaps.

I combined the Sweet Conversations Stamp Set, coordinating Sweet Hearts Dies and the fabulous Sweet Talk Designer Series (DSP) from the product suite to decorate this little treat box.

Lush greenery and gratitude go hand in hand in the Bloom Where your Planted Suite Collection. Perfect for cardmaking, this collection is a great way to tell them just how much they’re appreciated. Plant gratitude in someone’s life today! If this beautiful product suite is not already on your gotta have it list, I highly recommend adding it. 

For my project, I decided to create a super Curvy Pop-Up Fun Fold card. I am a BIG fan of fun fold cards (if you didn’t already know). The Curvy Pop-Up stands up wonderfully, making it perfect for the recipient to display and enjoy all year long. I love that this one really is a pretty easy fun fold to create PLUS it folds flat to fit into a standard size envelope to easily pop into the mail! I would say, the most difficult part (but also the fun part), is how you decide to embellish the card base once you have it made.

Add a folk art touch to your crafting with the Sweet Symmetry Suite Collection. Combine the bold images for symmetrical floral art; stamp in multiple ink colors for your own folk-art touch. Some of the images are paired for perfect symmetry. If this fun product suite is not already on your gotta have it list, I highly recommend adding it. 

For my project, I decided to create a fast & easy cheerful card where I pulled in some bright colors to compliment the bold images of the In Symmetry stamp set. This is a perfect card to send to someone anytime of the year just to say hello!

Do you love the cut away front detail? This was created with the Basic Border Dies. These are so much fun to use individually or paired together to create some great layers.

I also pulled in another one of my favorite dies to add some great detail to the card base…the Stitched Greenery Die! Give your projects some texture and a touch of greenery! Use the Stitched Greenery Die as background on your handmade projects. You’ll love how the intricate detail dress up your cards perfectly!

Looking to shake it up for fall? The Blackberry Beauty Suite Collection has all the classic fall imagery with an exciting spin on the color palette and finishes. The deep purples and golden hues will make this an elevated autumnal experience you will never forget. The embellishments included in this suite collection are sure to make your projects pop with elegant design. While the design call back to fall afternoons, the natural botanical designs work great all year-round.  If this stunning product suite is not already on your gotta have it list, I highly recommend adding it. 

For my project, I decided to create a lovely fall card where I pulled in a few additional rich colors that coordinate nicely with some of the more masculine prints found in the stunning Blackberry Beauty Designer Series Paper (DSP).

I just love all the added textures created by layering the various papers. From the the dressy Gold & Rose Gold Metallic Specialty Paper down to the nature inspired Cork Paper you are sure to find the perfect elements to captivate your audience on this project. 

Have you noticed the trend in cutting your ribbons to use them a bit differently than they were designed? This is so fun and can really change the look and feel of your project. On this one I raveled the woven White & Pale Papaya 1/2″ Ribbon to pull out some fibers to create the bow. Love the contrast added with the soft touch of ribbon!

Everything’s just peachy when you craft with this You’re a Peach Suite Collection. The all-occasion sentiments are ideal for handmade greeting cards and gift packaging. Add some juicy peaches, flowers, and foliage for a sweet finish. If this versatile product suite is not already on your gotta have it list, I highly recommend adding it. 

For my project, I decided to create a lovely Thank You card with a crate of pink blossoms for the focal point. I love the added textures created with the various prints from the You’re A Peach Designer Series Paper (DSP). Did you noticed the stitched detail on the green layer? I used the Stitched Greenery Die to add this fun detail to the strip of DSP. LOVE this!

Let your inner artist out with the Expressions in Ink Suite Collection. You’ll love what you can create with this frenzy of fresh flowers. Use just one color for an elegant, monochromatic look, or create an explosion of hues by using several colors together. If this product suite is not already on your gotta have it list, I highly recommend adding it. I think this is one of my all time favorites!

For my project, I decided to create a gorgeous little bag with a magnetic closure featuring the exquisite Expressions in Ink Specialty Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the suite.

What do you get when you combine beautiful colors, patterns, and gold foiling? The breathtaking Expressions in Ink Specialty Designer Series Paper! This paper pack includes florals and foiling and is a great choice for wedding projects, springtime, love, and more. Sadly this paper has been unorderable for several weeks, but as of earlier today…our status reports show it NOW Orderable once again!!!!

I love that this little bag folds flat so you could create several and keep them on hand when you need to give a little treat to someone. The finished bag is 3″ tall and 2-1/2″ wide with a 1-1/2″ depth, making it perfect for some of your favorite candies or maybe some jewelry!

I ordered the magnets for the closure online from a company called TotalElement out of Colorado. I used the 3/16″ size for this project. You could easily use a velcro dot for the closure if your prefer.

Card Layers:

  • 8-1/2″ x 5″ DSP scored along the long side at 2-1/2″, 4″, 6-1/2″ and 8″; partial scored (approx. 2-3/4″ down) at 3-1/4″ & 7-1/4″; rotate and scored along the short side at 1-1/2″ & 4-1/2″
  • 3″ x 3″ old Foil- die cut with 2nd largest label from Hippo & Friends Dies and scored 1/8″ to both sides of the center of the label.
  • 2″ x 2″ Basic White cardstock- die cut with Tasteful labels Dies
  • 1-3/4″ x 3-1/2″ Basic White cardstock- stamp/die cut flower and leaves

Sand and sea. It’s the perfect recipe for all things summery, fun, and relaxing. Start with the basics: stamped images, pretty paper. Add fun embellishments for a final touch, and your handmade cards and scrapbook pages are complete! You’ll love what you can do with this beachy collection. If this product suite is not already on your gotta have it list, I highly recommend adding it.

For my project, I decided to create a super cool background on Vellum cardstock using Stampin’ Blends and rubbing alcohol. Have you given this technique a try yet? I love how each project is unique when creating with this technique. I used Balmy Blue, Pool Party and Soft Succulent to create the soft watery looking background.

Once the paper was dry, I added the embossed shells in one corner of the Vellum, before adhering it to the Basic White cardstock layer. I think the white layer under the vellum really allows you to see more of the beautiful detail created with the alcohol.
