Today I am sharing the quick & easy BONUS Mother’s Day card my Paper Pumpkin subscribers got to make at my April 2018 FMN class using the stamp set from the March 2018 Paper Pumpkin May Good Things Grow Kit

.

To create this fun background, I punched several pieces from the various prints in the Petal Passion design series paper (DSP) with the Tailored Tag punch and adhered them to the front of the 4″ x 5-1/4″ Sweet Sugarplum cardstock with liquid adhesive.

So sad to see these papers retiring. If you love them be sure to stock up before they are gone.

Once the entire layer was covered, I used the paper snips to clip away the excess DSP from the layer.

The sentiments on the inside and outside of the card are stamped in Memento Black ink.

I love the added sparkle created with the Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper and the Tinsel Trim.

Today I am sharing a fun fold alternate card I made with the October 2017 Pining For Plaid Paper Pumpkin Kit.

This Easel Shaker card was inspired by one created by Debbie Henderson.

I love that easel cards fold flat so you can easily drop them in the mail.

On the inside of the card I popped the sentiment up with the foam strips that came in the kit. This creates a stopper for the folded front layer to rest against to stay open.

I also stamped the snowflakes in Soft Sky ink.

I scored the card front at 2-1/8″ and made sure my shaker element and gold foil banner pieces were only adhered down to the bottom of the card front.

I used my layering circles framelits to create the Gold Glimmer frame around the shaker element. Do you love the extra bling?

Today I am sharing one of the fun alternate cards I made with the super cool October 2017 Pining For Plaid Paper Pumpkin kit.

I pulled out my Big Shot and the Hearth & Home framelits and easily turned the shaker into a window. Love it!

Card layers:

• 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ (folded in half) Basic Black cardstock
• 5″ x 3-3/4″ Whisper White cardstock
• 4-7/8″ x 3-5/8″ cut from plaid card base
• 5-1/4″ x 4″ Whisper White cardstock (inside)

I had a little strip left over from the front of the plaid card base I cut up so I added it to the inside of the card. Don’t you love little touches like this? I think it makes the card just a bit more special.

Today I am sharing one of the alternate cards I made using the extra pieces from the September 2017 Layered Leaves Paper Pumpkin Kit. I used the same basic layout I used for for the BONUS card at my September 2017 FMN class. Click here to see the BONUS card in case you missed it.

I started with a 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ (folded in half) Cajun Craze cardbase and added a 5 1/8″ x 2 3/4″ piece I cut out of the pillowbox. I sponged a bit of Crumb Cake ink along the embossed surface to make it stand out a bit more.

To create the focal point, I cut the note card in half and used the back for the bottom layer and die cut the stitched shape square out of the front half.

Today I am sharing another one of the alternate cards I made using the extra pieces from the September 2017 Layered Leaves Paper Pumpkin Kit.

Do you like the collage of leaves in one corner?

I started out with a 11″ x 4 1/4″ (folded in half) Cajun Craze card base.

I stamped some leaves in Chocolate Chip ink on a piece of 5 1/4″ x 4 1/4″ Whisper White cardstock to add another layer to my card front before adding all the die cut leaves from the kit.

For my sentiment I layered two of the little tags together so I would have the gold band at both ends.

Today I am sharing another one of the alternate cards I made using the extra pieces from the September 2017 Layered Leaves Paper Pumpkin Kit.

Sometimes this time of year can be a little crazy so I thought this was a fun sentiment.

I started with a 51/2″ x 81/2″ (folded in half) Cajun Craze card base that I stamped leaves along the right edge with the Cajun Craze ink spot that came in my kit.

I cut one of the note cards down to 5 1/2″ so it would fit perfectly on my card front.

On the inside of the card I added a 5 1/4″ x 4″ piece of Whisper White cardstock that I stamped the same leaf image down the right side as I did on the card front.

Today I am sharing one of the alternate cards I made using the extra pieces from the September 2017 Layered Leaves Paper Pumpkin Kit. I am so loving this kit!

I started with a 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ (folded in half) Thick Whisper White card base that I stamped leaves in Cajun Craze (spot included in kit) and Chocolate Chip ink.

I cut down one of the pillow boxes to 2 1/8″ x 4 1/4″ to use as the band across the front of the card. I love the subtle embossed image.

I was able to use just the adhesives included in my kit to adhere down all my pieces. Gotta lot that.

Today I am sharing a couple more of the alternate cards I made using the extra pieces from the August 2017 Giftable Greetings Paper Pumpkin Kit.

These cards are inspired by a card I saw created by Julie Davison.

For the Coral card I started with a 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ piece of Calypso Coral cardstock (folded in half) for the card base.

I decorated a piece of 5 1/4″ x 4″ Whisper White cardstock with my images and then adhered to the card base with dimensionals. I also stamped and added in a 5 1/4″ x 4″ Whisper White cardstock on the card inside.

I used the Big Shot with the Magnetic platform to die cut the Night of Navy scallop oval using the Layering Ovals framelits.

I cut the large die cut flowers in half as well as the Night of Navy scallop oval to extend the use of my pieces.

On the blue option I started with a 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ piece of Night of Navy cardstock (folded in half) for the card base.

I decorated a piece of 5 1/4″ x 4″ Whisper White cardstock with my images and then adhered to the card base with dimensionals. I also stamped and added in a 5 1/4″ x 4″ Whisper White cardstock on the card inside.

On this option I added a couple loops of the Silver Mini Sequin trim to change it up just a bit. I love the added texture this added!

For both color combos I did all my stamping with the Night of Navy ink spot that came in the kit.

Today I am sharing another fun card I created with the extra pieces from the August 2017 Giftable Greetings Paper Pumpkin Kit.

I pulled out a piece of 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ (folded in half) Powder Pink cardstock for my card base and then used some of the extra pieces I had left after putting my kit together.

I trimmed the top and bottom of the Congrats oval to make it a bit thinner to show off the tag behind the greeting.

I also cut the die cut flower in half so I used fewer pieces and was able to create more cards.

Today I am sharing the Bonus card my Paper Pumpkin subscribers got to make at my July 2017 FMN class featuring the stamp set from the June 2017 One in a Melon kit. Loving this stamp set…it’s perfect for summer fun!

This card was inspired by a card I saw on Pinterest created by Lauren.

Card Layers:

• 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ (folded in half) Lemon Lime Twist card base
• 4″ x 5 1/4″ Emerald Envy cardstock
• 4″ x 5 1/4″ Whisper White cardstock (inside)
• 1/2″ x 4 1/2″ Melon Mambo cardstock
• 1 1/2″ x 4 3/4″ Lemon Lime Twist cardstock
• 2 1/4″ x 3 1/2″ Whisper White cardstock

To create the card I started by stamping all my pieces.

I used the raindrops image from the Sprinkles of Life stamp set to add the black seeds to the front of the 4″ x 5 1/4″ Emerald Envy cardstock. Super cool right?

To create the melon look along the 1 1/2″ x 4 3/4″ Lemon Lime Twist cardstock I added Emerald Envy ink to the cardstock with an aqua painter. I think the lights and darks of the scribbled stripes give it a really cool look.

I added the Emerald Envy, Lemon Lime Twist and Melon Mambo cardstock layers to the front of the Lemon Lime Twist card base with snail adhesive.

I wrapped the black bakers twine around the stamped 2 1/4″ x 3 1/2″ Whisper White cardstock and then adhered the twine bow to the layer with glue dots.

I popped the layer up on the front of the card with stampin dimensionals.

Today I am sharing the super cute BONUS card my CreativeLee Yours Paper Pumpkin subscribers got to make at my new catalog open house I held recently. This one was inspired by a sample I saw created by BJ Peters.

This card features the Bunny Buddies stamp set from the March 2017 paper pumpkin kit. Can you see what we did? We used the full bunny ear to stamp the petals of our flowers…super cute-right?

Once we had all the petals stamped using the Memento Black ink, we colored in the petals with the Pumpkin Pie and Melon Mambo Stampin’ Write markers.

Card Layers:

• 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ (folded in half) Pumpkin Pie card base
• 3 1/2″ x 3 1/2″ Melon Mambo cardstock
• 3 1/8″ x 3 1/8″ Basic Black cardstock

Today I am sharing the BONUS card my Paper Pumpkin subscribers got to make at my June 2017 FMN class. This super quick and fun card was inspired by one I saw by Dawn Olchefske.

We used the stamp set from the April 2017 A Sara Thing kit.

Card Layers:

• 5 1/2″x 8 1/2″ Thick White card base
• 4 1/4″ x 4″ Thick White cardstock
• (2) 4″ x 1 1/4″ Thick White cardstock
• 4″ x 1 1/4″ Designer Paper
• 3″ x 3″ Thick White cardstock-die cut

Are you wondering what designer paper was used to create the strips behind the greeting on the focal point of the card front? I did use one of the prints from the Eastern Palace designer paper for the far right strip and stamped the middle 4″ x 1 1/4″ strip of Whisper White cardstock with the polka dot splatter image from the stamp set. To create the striped paper, I used the Basic Black and Lemon Line Twist markers to draw directly on the 4″ x 1 1/4″ strip of Whisper White cardstock with the brush tip end of the marker.

Today I am sharing the BONUS card my paper pumpkin subscribers got to make at my March 2017 FMN class featuring the Many Happy Birthdays stamp set from the February 2017 paper pumpkin kit.

This stamp set was just perfect to create a pull tab card.

When you pull the tab it reveals the hidden part of the greeting. Super fun-right?

Card Layers:

• 11″ x 4 1/4″ score at 5 1/2″ (folded along score line) Dapper Denim cardbase
• (2) 5 1/4″ x 4″ Whisper White cardstock
• 5″ x 3 3/4″ Designer Series Paper
• 1 1/4″x 4 1/4″ Dapper Denim cardstock

To create the pull tab element, use the 1″ circle punch to punch a hole on one side of the designer series paper. Tip: be sure the punch is pushed down against the paper for easy alignment.

Punch a second circle at the opposite side of the designer series paper.

Use the stampin’ trimmer to connect the punched holes. This will create the opening.

On the back side of the designer paper, place the 1 1/4″ strip of Dapper Denim cardstock over the opening. Add foam adhesive strips along the top and bottom of the strip, leaving just enough room for the cardstock to slide between the foam strips.

Add scraps of the foam strips along the lower edge of the designer paper.

Remove the Dapper Denim strip and adhere the designer series layer to the Whisper White cardstock layer.

Stamp the hidden message through the opening on the far right side of the card.

Slide the Dapper Denim strip in between the foam strips making sure to cover the opening.

Add a dimensional dot at the far right edge of the opening. This will create the stop for the pull tab when it is closed.

Add a second dimensional dot next to the first one. This will create you stop for the other side (when the tab is open).

Adhere punched circle greeting layer to the dimensional dots. Be sure to check the placement when the tab is open as well as closed to be sure you are happy with it before applying pressure to secure the layer.

Adhere the layer to the card front.

Clip off the excess length on the left side of the tab so it does not hang off the edge of the card. This will allow the card to fit inside a standard envelope.
