Want to send a show-stopping card? Today’s card is sure to wow your audience! This is just one of the awesome cards we created at my September 2021 FMN (Forget Me Not) Class where I featured the Delicate Dahlias Distinktive stamp set that I hope will give you a little inspiration.

The Delicate Dahlias Stamp Set has hyper-realistic designs of beautiful dahlia florals. You can center the dahlia image as the main focal point for increased impact or place it off to the side to frame one of many versatile sentiments included in this set. The included outline floral designs also allow you to explore all the coloring techniques your heart desires. This is a Two-Step Stampin’ set; it allows you to layer two or more images to create one final image with extra texture and dimension in the colors you want. For this project I used both the fill image and the outline images separately vs layering them.

For the background of this card, I used a Water Stamping technique with the Bark embossing folder. I shared a project a few weeks ago where I tried this technique for the first time, and while the project was very nice, the technique didn’t quite work the way I wanted it to. Did you miss it? I think I figured out the trick to getting a nice water stamped appearance. I found if I pressed the embossing folder closed for a few moments to allow the water to be pressed into the paper that it really gave a bleached out appearance to get more of the visual texture of the embossing folder.
