Today I’m sharing how to create a vellum card base the easy way — with smart layering that hides adhesive while keeping the design clean and polished.

This card features the Nature Walk Designer Series Paper and Natural Hues Textured Specialty Paper, layered simply for an elegant, masculine-friendly look.

Why Use a Vellum Card Base?

• Adds softness without extra bulk
• Creates a high-end, boutique feel
• Works beautifully for simple, neutral designs

The Layering Strategy

Here’s the key:

Instead of placing adhesive randomly and hoping for the best, we intentionally place adhesive:

  • Behind layered Designer Series Paper (DSP)
  • Under the die-cut sentiment banner
  • Behind embellishments

That way, nothing shows through the vellum.

Simple shift. Big difference.
