How to Make an Embossed Layered Card with Die Cuts-Easy Handmade Card Idea (Video)

If you love cards with lots of texture and detail, this one is going to catch your eye.

At first glance, it looks like there are a lot of pieces and layers involved — but once you break it down, it’s actually very manageable and fun to create.

For this card, I started with a neutral base and built up layers using embossed die-cut banners. The texture from the Lazy Daisy 3D Embossing Folder adds just the right amount of interest without overwhelming the design.

From there, I added die-cut flowers and stems using the Sweet Bugs dies, along with a simple stamped sentiment to bring everything together.

One of my favorite parts of this design is how the layers work together to create a polished look — while still keeping the process approachable.

And the inside ties everything together with a coordinating embossed strip and a simple sentiment, making it feel complete without adding extra complexity.
