All is Calm Mosaic Ornament

Today I am sharing the Bonus card my paper pumpkin subscribers got to make at the Nov. 2014 FMN class.

This card is based off a card I did in class last year. Here is the link to see the original card design.

First I created this card using the All is Calm washi tape, but I was already using the washi tape on another class project so we made our card with the All is Calm designer series paper. I think it turned out fabulous!

To create this card we folded a piece of 11 1/2″ x 4 1/4″Soft Sky cardstock in half.

I then adhered the Lost Lagoon cardstock to the card front. You might notice there is hole in my layer…

I used the Project Life Cards & Labels Framelits to quickly cut out the center of the cardstock so I could use it on another project later. This is a great way to make your supplies go a little further.:)

Next I adhered a piece of 3 1/2″ Silver 1/8″ Ribbon with glue dots to the front card layer. This will determine placement for the rest of my pieces.

Adhere your designer paper strips to the card front using the ribbon as a guide for placement. I cut my strips out of the All Is Calm Specialty Designer Series Paper at 1/2″, 3/8″ and 5/8″.

Use the Mosaic Punch to punch the ornament shape out of the center of the 2 1/2″ x 2 1/2″ piece of Silver Glimmer Paper.

Then punch again using the 1-3/4″ Circle Punch. You will want your ornament shape to be centered in the circle.

Adhere your punched image to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals and stamp your getting with the Watercolor Winter Too stamp set using the Metallic Silver Encore Pad. Then adhere the entire layer to the card base with snail adhesive.

Tie a bow with the Soft Sky 1/2″ Seam Binding Ribbon and adhere it to the top of the punched image with a glue dot. Add a Rhinestone Basic Jewel to the center of the ornament to complete your card.
