There’s something especially meaningful about a handmade baby card. It doesn’t need to be over-the-top or complicated — it just needs to feel thoughtful, timeless, and made with care.
Today’s project is a slimline eclipse baby card that checks all of those boxes. It’s clean, elegant, and full of subtle texture, making it perfect for welcoming a new little one in a beautiful, heartfelt way.
I kept the design gender neutral, with soft white-on-white layers and texture doing most of the work. During the video, I share two alternate versions — one with a hint of pink foil and one with a soft blue accent — to show how easily this design can be customized without changing the layout.

One of my favorite parts of this project is using the Beautiful Pattern Embossing Folder, a newer Online Exclusive. I also share a helpful tip in the video for extending an embossing pattern when your folder is smaller than your cardstock — a technique you’ll use again and again.
This card layout isn’t just for babies either. With different letters or images, it would work beautifully for weddings, birthdays, or even milestone celebrations.
