Today’s project is just one of the awesome cards we created at my August 2021 FMN (Forget Me Not) Class where I paired the elegant Heartfelt Wishes stamp set (one of my favorites in the July-December Mini Catalog) and the Intricate Leaves Dies that I hope will give you a little inspiration.

The exquisite script in the Heartfelt Wishes Stamp Set will beautify your handmade cards, whether you want to use it alone as the focal point or with one of your favorite image stamps. This set has sentiments for Christmas and New Year’s, but you can also use the general holiday greetings to celebrate other special days. You’ll use this set year-round to create projects that express your gratitude and thanks or let someone know you’re thinking of them. For this project I embossed the stamped sentiment on a strip of Vellum cardstock as an overlay to the rows of metallic die-cut leaves.

You can cut out a treeful of leaves in no time when you use the Intricate Leaves Dies. Use the open dies to cut out stamped images, or use the detailed dies to create quick accents. You’ll use these dies all year long—just change the color of cardstock to reflect the changing seasons. You can also layer the detailed dies over cardstock or patterned paper so the bottom layer peeks through. For this project I die-cut one of the leaves from each of the finishes found in the Brushed Metallic cardstock to create the focal point behind the soft sentiment. I love the contrast created using these elements together.
