Today I am sharing one of the fun fold birthday cards we made at my February 2017 FMN class featuring the Stampin’ Up! Lift Me Up Bundle.
The happy blend of images and sentiments make The Lift me Up stamp set the perfect pick-me-up kind of stamp set.
The Up & Away Thinlits Dies are awesome to die-cut hot-air balloons, clouds, and shapes in seconds with the Big Shot.
Today’s card was inspired by a swap I received from Cathy Miller. I just knew when I saw the balloon image peeking through the oval window in the front of the card that I had to give this a try.
This fold is like two cards nested into one and really simple to put together.
I used the Carried Away Designer Series Paper for the background layer on the card front and added some of the Silver ribbon from the 3/8″ Metallic Ribbon Combo Pack on the greeting layer. I just love how you can easily die cut and add the layers behind the more detailed balloon cut out to give it some fun color.
I don’t think the pictures show how cool the detailed navy balloon looks, but I colored it with Clear Wink of Stella before adding the layers behind it. This gives the perfect amount of shimmer!
You could easily change the colors to adjust for a more masculine or feminine feel to the card.
