Today I am sharing a quick and lovely card we made at our diemonds team meeting featuring the Colorful Seasons stamp set and coordinating Seasonal Layers thinlits.
How much do you love the wood background designer series paper…Love,Love, Love this! This paper stack really brings the look of the outdoors inside with these natural, rustic patterns.
The more I play with these products from the new catalog, the more I just love them!

Card Layers:
- 5 1/2″x 8 1/2″ Soft Suede card base
- (2) 4″ x 5 1/4″ Whisper White cardstock-inside and outside layer
- 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″ Designer series paper
- 3″ x 4 1/4″ Soft Suede cardstock
- 2 7/8″ x 4 1/8″ Whisper White cardstock
I found out during the team meeting, that I have been stamping the flowers along the small stem backwards. I still think they look good though 🙂
I am not sure if you noticed in the picture that I did something a bit different on this one and die cut the branch out of the 2 7/8″ x 4 1/8″ Whisper White layer. I threw out the actual branch and kept the negative.
I then adhered the layer to the front of the 3″ x 4 1/4″ Soft Suede cardstock so the Soft Suede shows through to give color to my branch.
Did you notice the odd lines in the Soft Suede peeking through? I first planned on cutting the branch out of the Soft Suede layer and then decided to change it up. I didn’t want to waste the cardstock so just taped it back together. I think it added some character-sort of looks like there is a grain to my branch 🙂
I finished the card by adding a bit of clear Wink of Stella to the raised Berry Burst flowers.
