Do you like to surprise people with a New Years card? We have some friends that rarely send a Christmas card, but always surprise us with a wonderful card to celebrate the New Year. It’s so fun to keep the Holiday celebrations going on a few extra weeks by sending some holiday spirit with your handmade cards and projects.
Today’s project is just one of the fantabulous cards we created at my December 2021 FMN (Forget Me Not) Class where we created a 3 Step Fun Fold card that I hope will give you a little inspiration. This was my first time giving this fun fold a try and I must say it’s a keeper. This one is super easy to create and I love the wow factor of the inside pop up.
The layout on the card front was inspired by a project created by Laura Milligan. I love the overlapping swirly stars wreaths to create the focal point. Create different types of wreaths and embellish you holiday cards using the Seasonal Swirls Dies. The dies include elegant imagery such as swirls, Halloween, and autumn images, as well as winter images. The set includes embellishments for the wreaths, such as a bat, a pumpkin, a holly leaf, a pine sprig, and more. Combine the different elements and create unique cards for the season or holiday of your choice!
The design was brought to the card inside with die-cut stars in various sizes from the Stitched Stars Dies in Black Glitter Paper and Silver Foil Paper.
The elegant sentiments from the Heartfelt Wishes Stamp Set are perfect for this celebratory fun fold card. The exquisite script will beautify your handmade cards, whether you want to use it alone as the focal point or with one of your favorite image stamps. This set has sentiments for Christmas and New Year’s, but you can also use the general holiday greetings to celebrate other special days. You’ll use this set year-round to create projects that express your gratitude and thanks or let someone know you’re thinking of them.
