CreativeLee Yours,
Hi Wendy,
Your card is beautiful, however, you used the brick embossing folder which indicates the window is on the outside of the building. Your cat is so cute looking out the window at the winter scene. I think the cat should be looking at the inside of the house instead of the outside. For the cat to be looking at the winter scene the brick embossing folder should be replaced with something indicating the inside of the house. Just saying!
Thanks Cheryl for your feedback. I have seen several homes with an interior wall that is brick or has a stone look to it so decided to stretch this a bit… Even if not traditional, I just like it on this card 🙂
Cheryl, I read your comments and noticed that you did not leave one positive comment. If the card is not to your personal liking, why not just not comment at all rather than criticize someone else! S work? You stated your personal preferences.
Wendy, I love the card. You paid attention to a lot of detail and I think that your card is adorable.
Thanks Deb. So glad you like it
Love your card just the way it is, How do I obtain the cat thinlet?
Thank you Margie. Unfortunately the Festive Fireside Framelits I used to cut out the kitty are now retired so is no longer available.
Hi Wendy, thank you for sharing this because card. I can’t wait to try my hand at it, I ordered my brick embossing folder I found on Amazon I also found a die cut of a few different poses of cats I also bought… This is one of my favorite cards I’m thinking I might make a few Halloween window cards…well thank you so much for sharing…
Dannielle
So glad you like it Dannielle
Hi Wendy I love this card and I would love to purchase a few already done. I don’t have the money to get a die cutting machine and love the kitty in the window effect. Could you please tell me where I could buy cards with Windows already cut into them and kitties to go with then?
Thank you for your time.
Hi Sheila- so glad you like the card. The dies to create the window and the particular kitty I used are no longer available. Unfortunately I do not know where you may find something like this for sale. I will reach out to my team as some of them do make cards for purchase and may have the tools to re-create. If I have any luck I will let you know.
Love the card do they still have the brick embossing folder?
I’m going to try one to se3 if I can have the cat on the inside looking out
You have given some good ideas
Thank you
Thanks Laura! The brick wall embossing folder is sadly no longer available. You could try using the embossing paste with the Pattern Party Decorative Masks to create your brick wall. The size of the bricks is smaller, but would still be a very nice look.
What did you use to create the cat? Would like to get that tool, as, yes, it is cute.
Hi Catherine-the cat was part one of the dies in the retired Festive Fireside dies. You could try to use the current cat punch, but it will be a bit larger. Hope this helps.
Hi Wendy,
I love love love this card! And didn’t notice the cat was looking in not out to the winter scene! I have personally seen my cat looking in from the outside and if you really wanted to think about the scene could totally be reflected from the outside while the cat is trying to look in! When it is bright outside this often happens as windows are reflective in daylight! So I think that it is all perspective and a beautiful card is a beautiful card no matter which way you slice it! Bravo we all know how much work goes into a carefully thought out card!!!
Thanks Angela. So glad you like it.
Love the card. Great job
Thanks
