Today I am sharing a shimmery card I made featuring the Dragonfly Dreams bundle. The lovely background was created using a fun Watercolor Resist technique.
To create the background:
Stamp the watercolor paper with the multi dots image in Sweet Sugarplum and Wisteria Wonder ink on the watercolor paper and then used a Spritzer to add water all over the paper. This will allow the stamped images to bleed.
Once the watercolor paper was dry, I embossed the solid dragonfly image with clear powder.
I spritzed the entire surface of the watercolor paper again and added some Sweet Sugarplum and Wisteria Wonder ink to the layer with the aqua-painter. The embossed images will resist the additional ink.
For best results, let the layer completely dry before putting your card together.
Card Layers:
- 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ (folded in half) Wisteria Wonder cardstock
- 4 7/8″ x 3 5/8″ Vellum cardstock
- 4 5/8″ x 3 3/8″ Sweet Sugarplum cardstock
- 4 1/2″ x 3 1/4″ Watercolor paper
- 1″ x 4 3/4″ Vellum cardstock- emboss greeting and tuck under ends.
