Today I am sharing one of the Thank You cards I made to send to those that placed orders with me featuring the Christmas Quilt bundle. These are some of the retiring products from the Holiday catalog that you dont want to miss out on.
This card was inspired by one created by Mary Deatherage that I really liked so wanted to give it a try.
I love all the layers and how versatile the layout of this card is. The simple sentiment stamped on the card front with the super sweet Hug in a Mug stamp set gives this quilted card the perfect warmth it needs.
Card Layers:
- 5-1/2″x 8-1/2″ Night of Navy cardstock
- 5-1/4″ x 4″ Whisper White cardstock (inside)
- 5-1/8″ x 4-1/8″ DSP
- 4-1/4″ x 2-3/4″ Night of Navy cardstock
- 4-1/8″ x 2-5/8″ DSP
- 3-1/2″ x 2-1/2″ Night of Navy cardstock
- 3-3/8″x 2-3/8″ Whisper White cardstock
For the focal point on the card is created by die cutting Night of Navy cardstock with the largest scallop circle from the Layering Circle framelits.
I then used the largest circle from the dies to cut out the Whisper White cardstock.
Next I layered the star die cut DSP pieces on top of each other and added the detailed Night of Navy star.
To complete the focal point I added a White Bakers Twine bow.
I used the stamps to bring the design inside the card, but decided not to stamp any additional sentiments so the recipient could use the card as they needed.
