Welcome, crafters! Today, we’re diving into a delightful project that turns your paper scraps into beautiful quilted card designs. Using simple techniques and a bit of creativity, you’ll be amazed at the stunning results you can achieve.
Why Recreate This Project?

- Skill Building: This project introduces you to new techniques like paper piecing and quilted designs, expanding your crafting skills.
Instructions:
- Select a variety of patterned paper scraps in coordinating colors. For this project I cut my strips to 1/4″ wide, but you can work with just about any widths you like from your crafty stash.
- Adhere your patterned paper scraps to a white layer and cut to create your customer design.
- Layer the paper shapes, creating a quilted effect.
- Stamp your chosen sentiment from the Unbounded Love stamp set onto cardstock.
- Adhere the completed layers onto a card base.
- Finish off with a punched image.
- Repeat the process to create more quilted cards in different designs.
Crafting is not just about creating something beautiful; it’s also about the joy of making something with your own hands. This project allows you to do just that while also making use of materials you already have on hand. - 8-1/2” x 5-1/2” Thick Basic White CS
- 3-7/8” x 5-1/8” DSP
- 3-3/4” x 5” Basic White CS
- 3-1/4” x 5-1/2” Basic White CS
- 3-1/4” x 3-1/4” Basic White CS
- ¼” strips of DSP
- Scrap Glimmer Paper-punch
