Today, I’m excited to share a delightful project that combines elegance with functionality – an elegant card that easily transforms into a gift card holder.
This project features stunning scenes from the Thoughtful Journey pattern paper, which does most of the work for you, making it a breeze to create. In the accompanying video, I’ll guide you through each step to recreate this beautiful card on your own.

Step-by-Step Guide
1. Prepare Your Materials:
Gather all your materials. Choose a coordinating color palette that compliments the Thoughtful Journey pattern paper. Here I have selected a white card base, adding a bit of color with Fresh Freesia and Petunia Pop.
2. Create the Card Base:
Cut and score your cardstock to create the card base. Ensure to include a pocket or fold that will securely hold the gift card. Here I am using a strip of the pattern paper to create the inside pocket.
3. Decorate with Pattern Paper:
Cut pieces of the Thoughtful Journey pattern paper to fit the front, inside, and any other visible parts of the card. Adhere them to the card base.
4. Add Stamped Elements:
Using the Unbounded Love stamp set, stamp your chosen sentiments. Use the coordinating dies to cut out the elements and arrange them on your card.
5. Create the Gift Card Pocket:
Use an additional piece of paper to create a pocket or tab inside the card where the gift card will sit. Adhere this piece securely.
6. Finishing Touches:
Add any additional embellishments, ribbon, or twine to enhance the elegance of your card.
Recreating this elegant card that doubles as a gift card holder is a wonderful way to add a personal touch to your gifts. It’s perfect for birthdays, anniversaries, holidays, or any special occasion where you want to make a lasting impression.
