Today I am sharing a fun fold Easter card we made at my March 2017 FMN class featuring the Sale-a-bration Avant Garden stamp set.

Each attendee had a different design from the Cupcake and Carousels designer series paper stack. I loved them all!

We used the layering squares and stitched shapes framelits to create the cards focal point.

The watercolor pencils and the blender pen were perfect to color in the lilies. I added clear wink of stella to the yellow flowers.

Today I am sharing a lovely happy birthday day card we made at a recent NC Demos event featuring the Avant Garden stamp set and So Detailed thinlits.

We used the Rock-n Roll technique when stamping our floral images.

To create the two toned look on our floral images we first inked up the image in the lighter ink color (this is the “rock”) and then rolled the outer edge of the stamp in the darker ink color before stamping on the cardstock.

Card Layers:

• 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ (folded in half) Sweet Sugarplum card base
• 5 1/4″ x 4″ Rich Razzleberry cardstock- cut out 1″ x 3 1/2″ window
• 2 3/4″ x 3 3/4″ Sweet Sugarplum cardstock
• 2 1/2″ x 3 1/2″ Very Vanilla cardstock
• 1 1/4″ x 3 5/8″ Sweet Sugarplum cardstock
• 4 1/8″ die cut Very Vanilla cardstock

This card also has a surprise…When you pull the tab a hidden message is revealed! Super cool right?

Today I am sharing a Thank You card I made featuring the Sale-a-bration Make a Medallion stamp set and Glimmer Paper Assortment pack.

To create the layers of the focal point I stamped the medallion images on a scrap of Whisper White cardstock.

The Sweet Sugarplum glimmer paper circle and the medallion was cut out with the layering circles framlelits.

I punched the center of the medallion with the 1 1/2″ circle punch.

I used the Classic Label punch to cut out the greeting. It was a bit too long so I put one end back into the punch to shorten it.

Card Layers:

• 5 1/2″x 8 1/2″ (folded in half) Sweet Sugarplum card base
• 5″x 3″ Designer Acetate
• 4 1/2″ x 2″ Night of Navy cardstock-banner punch end

This set has all the stamps you need for all those people who have the habit of doing nice things for you.

I decided to combine the All Things Thanks Stamp set with the Delicate Details sale-a-bration stamp set for today’s card and love the results!

On the 5″ x 3 3/4″ Very Vanilla card front layer I stamped the various lace patterns in Tip Top Taupe, Sahara Sand, Blushing Bride, Peekaboo Peach, Calypso Coral and Watermelon Wonder classic inks. The lace looks so real when stamped don’t you think?

I wrapped some of the Vanilla and Gold accent ribbon from the sale-a-bration offering around the layer before adhering it to the 5 1/8″ x 3 7/8″ Tip Top Taupe cardstock.

Next the greeting was embossed in Gold on the 1 1/2″ x 4 3/4″ Vellum cardstock before wrapping it around the layer. I also embossed the inside greeting in Gold.

Today I am sharing a beautiful birthday card we made at my February 2017 FMN class featuring two of the great sale-a-bration products… The Avant Garden and Delicate Details stamp sets. These sets coordinate so wonderfully together.

I also combined a cool fun fold pull tab element as well as a water coloring solid images technique to add a special touch to this card.

For this awesome coloring technique we stamped the solid images for the flowers and leaves using the Avant Garden stamp set in our classic inks and then added the darker shades by coloring over the top of the stamped images with the watercolor pencils and blended the colors with the Blender Pens. It is amazing how big an impact layering the additional color gives the stamped images and it is super simple to do. Do you love it?

When you pull the tab we created using the So Detailed thinlits you see a second hidden message. Love it!

Today I am sharing a fun masculine birthday card I received at our recent Diemonds team swap created by Sheila Tatum featuring the Hey, Chick stamp set. This is one of the AWESOME FREE products from the Sale-a-bration offering.

Sheila used the fabulous high-quality, smooth watercolor pencils along with a blender pen to color in the chicken as well as the eggs on the inside of the card. These pencils are perfect for water-coloring stamped images and can be used with Aqua Painters, Blender Pens, or  even alone.

Card Layers:

• 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ (folded in half) Bermuda Bay card base
• 5 1/4″ x 4″ Basic Gray cardstock- stamped with Hardwood stamp set
• 5 1/4″ x 4″ Whisper White cardstock-card inside

I love the how she used the die cut circles (2 11/16″ and 2 7/16″) to create the focal point- such a clever idea.

Isn’t it cool how Sheila sliced the cardstock and tucked in the bakers twine so the chicken is holding the balloon strings-too stinkin cute!

Today I am sharing one of my favorite cards from my February 2017 FMN class featuring the Dragonfly Dreams bundle. This is a special birthday card that has a lot going on in the details of all the layers.

This card was inspired by one I saw created by Shelli Gardner.

I love the textured created by wrapping the front of the card with a dryer sheet and then embossing it with the Hexagon Dynamic folder and the Big Shot.

We used the foam roller to color the Sale-a-bration Inside the Lines designer series paper with the Crushed Curry ink to add a pop of color to the card.

This fun fold is a standard easel card. The card base is made by adhering a 11″ x 4 1/4″ piece of Basic Black cardstock that is scored at 2 3/4″ and 5 1/2″ to a 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″ piece of Basic Black cardstock along the 2 3/4″ section with tear & tape.

Did you notice the clear embossed dragonflies on the inside of the black card base?

The raised die cut band from the So Detailed thinlits create the stop for the easel when the card is set up.

Today I am excited to share a special unique birthday card featuring the Detailed Dragonfly thinlits that my guests that attended my Sale-a-bration kick off party had an opportunity to make. I love this card so much that we also made it at our last Diemonds team meeting.

Don’t you just love this little bumble bee?

The outside card base is a 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ piece of Vellum cardstock folded in half. I love how you can see the inside card through the Vellum.

The inside card is 4 1/2″ x 6 1/2″ Thick White cardstock scored at 3 1/4″ and adhered flat to the Vellum card base. Since you can see the adhesive through the Vellum I added a 4″ x 2 3/4″ piece of Crushed Curry cardstock to the back side of the Vellum card base.

To create the feel of a beehive, I used the Hexagon dynamic embossing folder to add bold texture to the 4″ x 2 3/4″ Crushed Curry cardstock layer and then back it with a 4 1/4″ x 2 7/8″ piece of Basic Black cardstock before adhering it to the front of the inside card front.

The Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folders make extra deep, super crisp impressions-Love them!

I stamped the greeting from the Dragonfly Dreams stamp set in Memento Black on a 3/4″x 3 1/4″ strip of Whisper White cardstock and then adhered it to the front of the inside card with liquid adhesive.

I die cut two bee’s in Basic Black cardstock with the Detailed Dragonfly thinlits and then backed the body with punched pieces of Crush Curry cardstock.

I adhered the bee’s to the inside and outside of the Vellum card front back to back with dimensional dots.

I stamped the bee image from the Dragonfly Dreams stamp set in Memento Black and colored the body with the Crushed Curry marker.

The birthday greeting I stamped in Memento Black ink is from the Watercolor Wishes stamp set.

I finished the card front with adhesive Rhinestones.

I am excited to gift this Bumble Bee birthday card to help a friend celebrate their special day!

Today I am sharing a quick birthday card we made at our January 2017 Diemonds team meeting featuring products from the Balloon Adventures bundle. I love that the colors in this card are gender neutral.

This fun card was inspired by one created by Cindy Shuster.

Card Layers:

5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ (folded in  half) Thick Whisper White cardstock

5 1/4″x 4″ DSP

4″ x 3″ DSP- cut 1/4″ off the bottom of each side

To create the present I cut 1/4″ off the bottom of each side of the designer paper. When cutting an angle like this be sure you cut into the flat side vs the point to avoid crushing the point.
