As you may have already guessed…Dies are one of my absolute favorite products we carry! I find Dies really do add so much to a card. I am especially drawn to dies with stitched details. I think this is because I love to add details to my projects to make them a bit more special. Dies can be used to add interest by layering the shapes to enhance the focal point, giving a sentiment the perfect framed shape, to create fun elements and you can even use them to emboss. In the case of today’s project, The Stitched Stars Dies are the focal point of this fun Holiday Gift Card Holder. I chose various papers from the matte finish of the Highland Heather cardstock, to the brushed finish of the Silver Foil and the sparkling finish of the Ombre Specialty Paper to really bring these layered star elements to life with lots of great texture.

Today’s project is just one of the fantabulous cards we created at my November 2021 FMN (Forget Me Not) Class where I combined the Stitched Stars Dies and the Sparkle Of The Season Stamp Set that I hope will give you a little inspiration.

Send some holiday spirit with your handmade cards and projects this year with the Sparkle of the Season Stamp Set! This unique stamp set comes with a variety of sentiments that are perfect for Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas cards. Combine the beautiful imagery with the coordinating Seasonal Swirls Dies to create customized wreaths on your cards. It’s perfect for the season of your choice. For this project I chose to change it up a bit and combine the stamp set with the Stitched Stars Dies vs the Seasonal Swirls Dies. I love how versatile Stampin’ Up! products are. They really do make it easy to mix and match our products to create the feel you are going for.

Need more gift card holders than Holiday cards? To quickly turn your Holiday cards into a gift card holder, you can easily create a pocket on the inside to slide in the gift card or a little $ by adjusting to cardstock layer just a bit. For today’s project I extended the inside Basic White layer to create a pocket and then used the Basic Borders Dies to add a decorative edge. Doesn’t this stitched pointed shape really help bring the design to the inside of the card? I LOVE IT!

Have you given the Basic Borders Dies a try yet? Whether used alone, as a single border, or paired together, these Basic Borders Dies will add the perfect touch to your next papercrafting project. I highly recommend adding these to your crafting supplies if you do not already own them.

We had such a great time creating the projects and just enjoying our crafty time together. I love as a demonstrator we have the opportunity to participate in fun events like this.

A few weeks ago, my friend and team member Nancy, was at my studio helping me prep some Designer Series Paper (DSP) charts that needed to go out in the mail to some team members. When I pulled out the returning favorite, Heartwarming Hugs Designer Series Paper she said all she could see was Christmas when she looked at this traditional red and green paper. Challenge accepted! I knew I had to create a non-Christmas project with this wonderful paper to show it can be used all year long. How do you think I did with this Thank You Gift Card Holder?

The Heartwarming Hugs Designer Series Paper Pack includes various tiny patterns of plaid, stripes, dots, and more. While the patterns are a great choice for Christmas cards and packaging, you can do sooooo much more with it.

Today I am sharing the alternate BONUS card my Paper Pumpkin subscribers that attended my December 2020 FMN class got to create using the stamp set from the November 2020 Jolly Gingerbread Paper Pumpkin kit.

I love how versatile this kit is. Wouldn’t this make a super sweet Valentine card?

I used the blender pen and ink technique to color in the gingerbread house using Blushing Bride, Mint Macaron and Cinnamon Cider ink. I added a touch of Wink of Stella to the roof to give it just a bit of sparkle.

Today I am sharing one of the alternate cards I created with some of the leftover piece from my November 2020 Jolly Gingerbread Paper Pumpkin kit.

Ornamental Envelopes Gift Card Holders – Stampers Showcase Blog Hop

Welcome to the Stampers Showcase Blog hop! We have a fantastic hop to share with you today – full of inspiring ideas using the current Stampin’ Up!® products. The hop participants are a super talented bunch of creative and clever business people I am happy to hop with today.

This month’s theme is all about many peoples favorite time of the year…Wintertime and the Holidays! You will want to make your way through the entire hop to see all the amazing cards, tags, 3D projects and more!

For my project, I am sharing a set of five fun Holiday gift card holders that showcase several of our holiday Designer Series Papers (DSP).

These are super fast and easy to create so you can quickly create a stack to meet all your seasonal needs.

I used the Envelope Dies to add a nice decorative edge on both sides of the Designer Series papers.

There really is so much you can do with these ornamental dies to jazz up your envelopes or gift card holders. LOVE IT!

Inside each gift card envelope I created a coordinating insert with a stamped sentiment and a gift card.

To create the insert, I used a 3-3/4″ x 2-1/2″ piece of DSP layered with a 3-1/2″ x 2-1/4″ Whisper White or Very Vanilla cardstock that I pre-stamped.

The gift card is adhered to the back of the insert with Stampin’ Seal.

Here’s how to create the main gift card envelope:

Fold 4-1/2″ x 7-3/4″ DSP in half.
Die-cut the top edge of both layers with the Envelope Dies.
Score the front flap at 1-1/4″ and fold down.
Apply tear & tape to the inside front of envelope. Remove backing paper and adhere closed to create a pocket.

I tied approx. 18″ of ribbon around each gift card envelope.

A simple embellishment was added to each one to add a special touch.

Today I am sharing a super fun holiday gift card & treat holder we created at my November 2020 FMN Class featuring the Perfectly Plaid stamp set and coordinating Pine Tree Punch.

With three styles of Christmas trees in the Perfectly Plaid Stamp Set, you’ll be able to create a full forest of projects.

Mini Coffee Cup & Gift Card Holder (Video)

Today I am sharing the second half of the mini coffee cup gift card holder project that I created in my latest Facebook LIVE where I used the beautiful Snowflake Splendor Designer Series paper to decorate the super cute gift card holder the coordinating cup is placed in. LOVE this paper!

While the cup is the perfect size to hold a gift card PLUS a little treat, I created this fun holder for the cup and gift card so you could add more treats inside the cup! This version has a bit more pizazz for when you want to give a little more.

Create The Mini Coffee Cup Full Sleeve (Video)

Today I am sharing a sweet Mini Coffee Cup gift card holder that I created in my latest Facebook LIVE where I used the beautiful Snowflake Splendor Designer Series paper to decorate to cup. LOVE this paper! In the video I show you how I created the template to cover the entire cup.

This little cup is the perfect size to hold a gift card PLUS a little treat! It’s the perfect time to create a variety of gift card holders for this holiday season. We are featuring fabulous gift card holders for my November card club and we would love for you to join us. See club details HERE.

As soon as I got my hands on the super cute Mini Coffee Cups and the coordinating Warm Wrap Dies, I knew I wanted to cover the entire cup with some of our stunning Designer Series Papers, but realized there was no die to give me what I was looking for. Oh No! That’s is when I decided to try to create a template to give me what I was looking for.

Instead of sacrificing one of the cups to create the template, I used the cuff wrap dies and extended it to cover the full cup. While it didn’t turn out perfect, overall I am super happy with the results.

I love projects with lots of great texture, don’t you? The flocked designs on white vellum in the Plush Poinsettia Specialty Paper adds a special touch of elegance to all your projects.

Today I am sharing a beautiful holiday gift card holder we created at my November 2020 FMN Class that we cut out and applied color to one of the flocked poinsettia images from the Plush Poinsettia Specialty Paper to create our focal point.

I love how the metallic details brought in with the gold hoop, die-cut springs and trim all compliment the soft floral image.

Today I am sharing a stunning gift card holder that I created in my latest Facebook LIVE where I used the rich icy blues and purples of the Snowflake Splendor Designer Series paper to bring the embossed Poinsettia Petals to life vs a more traditional red and green color combination. The flocked designs on white vellum in the Plush Poinsettia Specialty Paper add touchable elegance to the beautiful background layers.

Blessed Christmas Wishes Pop-Up Gift Card Holder

Don’t you love a card with a surprise? I do!

Today I am sharing a lovely fun fold holiday card we created at my November 2020 FMN Class that has a pop up present inside that can hold a gift card if you like PLUS it folds flat to easily drop in the mail! This one can easily be used as a card without adding the gift card, but I love that this one is super versatile.

The card front was inspired by a project I saw created by Mary Deatherage.

The Itty Bitty Christmas stamp set has greetings for every type of Christmas project, from tags to cards and more! I love the variety of font in this wonderful sentiment stamp set.

I pulled in several of the sweet patterns from the Heartwarming Hugs Designer Series Paper (DSP). This high-quality printed paper, in traditional Christmas colors, is truly is a great choice for Christmas cards and projects.

Each of the trees on the card front were created with the Stitched Triangle dies. Have you tried these yet? They were not originally on my must have list, but I am super glad I purchased them. I think these are going to quickly become one of my favorites.
