Holiday Cheer Gift Card Holder (Paper Pumpkin Alternate)

I don’t know about you, but this time of year I find myself with a never ending need for Holiday Gift Card Holders. Who is with me? Paper Pumpkin to the rescue!

Today I am sharing a fabulous alternate project I created with the SOLD OUT October 2021 Peaceful Christmas Paper Pumpkin kit. I love the intended card designs included in this awesome kit and made them all up in just a few minuets, but I also wanted a few gift card holders so I used the printed envelopes and added a bit of cardstock to create some additional cards. I love how this one turned out!

Projects Layers:

4-1/4″ x 9-1/2″ Shaded Spruce cardstock
3-3/4” x 3-1/2” Read Red cardstock for front layer
3-3/4” x 1-3/4” Read Red cardstock for upper layer
(2) 3-5/8” x 1” plaid strips cut from envelope from kit
3-5/8” x 2” tree strip cut from envelope from kit
3-5/8” x 1-5/8” plaid strip cut from envelope from kit
2-1/2” x 2-1/2” Read Red cardstock for die-cutting scallop circle
2-1/4” x 2-1/4” Basic White cardstock for die-cutting circle
1-3/4” x 4-1/4” Shaded Spruce cardstock for insert
1-1/2” x 4-1/4” Basic White cardstock for insert

Halloween Pumpkins (Paper Pumpkin Alternate)

Looking for a little inspiration to use up all the extra pieces in the September 2021 Haunts & Harvest Paper Pumpkin kit? Today I am sharing a fabulous alternate project I created. Whether you’re thinking about crisp red apples or you’re ready to carve some spooky jack-o-lanterns (or both!), the Haunts & Harvest Paper Pumpkin Kit is a hands-on crafting experience for all autumn lovers.

Did you get the September 2021 Haunts & Harvest Paper Pumpkin kit? This Fall themed kit is so much fun. If you missed this one, you defiantly want to grab one of the refill kits before they are sold out. While this kit was full of adorable apple, pumpkin, or jack-o-lantern treat boxes to share, I wanted to go ahead and create some Halloween cards as well. I cut off some of the sides of the treat boxes and made this adorable jack-o-lantern card that was inspired by a project created by Rachel Tessman. With just a few additional supplies I had this super cute card in no time. Do you love it?

(2) 5-1/8″ x 3-7/8″ Pumpkin Pie cardstock
5″ x 3-3/4″ DSP
Printed die-cuts from kit (cut from treat boxes)

Hello (Paper Pumpkin Alternate)

Did you get the August 2021 Hope Box Paper Pumpkin kit? OMG, if you missed this one, you defiantly want to grab one of the refill kits before they are sold out. Don’t you just love all the water colored imagery and bright colors in the printed card bases and elements included in this kit? It’s such a beautiful kit!

Today I am sharing a fabulous alternate project I created with the August 2021 Hope Box Paper Pumpkin kit. The contents of this makes you feel good (gives me a warm fuzzy). When you open a card created with this kit, it just puts a smile on your face.

To create this fast & easy project, I used the other half of one of the die-cut elements I cut in half for another project. Did you miss the other card I shared? You can see it HERE.

I started with one of the card bases from the kit. Next, I cut the front off another one of the printed card bases and cut it into (4) 3-3/4″ x 1-1/8″ strips to layer on the card front.

I stamped the sentiment from the Biggest Wish stamp set (LOVE this one) with Blackberry Bliss ink onto one of the printed layers from the kit and adhered the die-cut element to the layer. I popped this layer up on the card front with a few dimensionals.

Apply a few sequins (use the Take Your Pick to make this so easy) from the kit and you are complete with this awesome project in no time!

Can you believe it? I didn’t add any additional cardstock you create today’s project!

Happy Birthday (Paper Pumpkin Alternate)

Today I am sharing a fabulous alternate project I created with the August 2021 Hope Box Paper Pumpkin kit. I love all the water colored imagery and bright colors in the printed card bases and elements included in this kit. The contents of this kit just put a smile on your face. To create this fast & easy project, I cut one of the die-cut elements in half and layered it on the printed card layer.

I added just a bit of cardstock to create the Basic Black card base and the pop of Polished Pink framing the focal point layer.

A Banner from the kit was clipped in half and layered behind the sentiment.

Apply a few sequins from the kit and you are complete with this awesome project in no time!

Watercolor Adventure (Paper Pumpkin Alternate)

Today I am sharing a gorgeous alternate project I created with the stamps from the July 2021 The Adventure Begins Paper Pumpkin kit. Are you having some fun with this wonderful kit? I love all the kit contents, but of course there is so much more you can create with the stamp set included in this awesome kit.

I really like the watercolor appearance of the elements in this kit so I played a bit in an effort to recreate this appearance. I started by adding a watercolor wash across a piece of the Fluid 100 watercolor paper with Granny Apple Green and Bermuda Bay ink. Once dry, I filliped the paper over and stamped the tree image on the back so I could use this as a guide to fussy cut out the trees. While I didn’t achieve quite the same look, I think it turned out nice. What do you think?

The snowflake images were stamped all over the background layer in Coastal Cabana ink with the Snowflake Wishes Stamp set. I think the softer blue/green color allows the trees to really pop.

Congrats (Paper Pumpkin Alternate)

Today I am sharing a fabulous alternate project I created with the July 2021 The Adventure Begins Paper Pumpkin kit. I love all the fun details and colors in the printed card bases included in this kit.

For this fast & easy project, I cut one of the printed card bases into strips to create a colorful background and framed them with Granny Apple Green cardstock. It creates such a nice contrast to the Misty Moonlight card base.

I pulled a couple of trees from the kit and layered them onto an embossed circle I die-cut using the Layering Circles dies.

Some images can even be cut down to create a winter scene.

Today I am sharing a fabulous alternate project I created with the July 2021 The Adventure Begins Paper Pumpkin kit. I love the kit as is, but of course there is so much more you can create with all the great elements in this fun kit.

Isn’t that skyline stunning? I saw a version of this project created by Rachel Tessman where she used the “trash” from one of the elements in the kit and I had to give it a try. I changed mine up a bit by dragging Mango Melody and Poppy Parade inks across the layer to create this awesome skyline. LOVE It!

Amazing Z-Fold (Paper Pumpkin Alternate)

Today I am sharing a gorgeous alternate project I created with the June 2021 Expressions In Ink Paper Pumpkin kit. Are you having some fun with this jaw dropping artistic kit? I love the kit as is, but of course there is so much more you can create with all the great elements in this awesome kit.

All Star (Paper Pumpkin Alternate)

Today I am sharing a fun alternate project I created with the May 2021 Batter Up! Paper Pumpkin kit. Are you having some fun with this baseball themed kit? I love the kit as is, but of course there is so much more you can create with this one.

For this project, I wanted to keep it super simple so I added just a couple of layers of cardstock to created the layers behind the sentiment. Don’t you love the repeated stamped bats down the Basic White cardstock with Soft Suede ink? I think it’s super fun!

3-1/4″ x 4-1/2″ Basic White cardstock

You’re The Best (Paper Pumpkin Alternate-Printable Tutorial)

Each month my Paper Pumpkin subscribers that also attend my Forget Me Not (FMN) card class get to make a BONUS card for FREE as a thank you for being a subscriber.

Today I am sharing the fun alternate BONUS project each of the June class attendees created with the stamps from the May 2021 Batter Up! Paper Pumpkin kit.

For this project I started with a Soft Suede card base and added some Bumblebee, Real Red, Night of Navy and Basic White cardstock layers. Each of the colored cardstock strips are stamped with images from the stamp set in the coordinating ink color to add a bit of texture.

The sentiment is stamped on a tag that was die-cut using the Tailor Made Tags Dies.

Do you save all the leftover embellishments from your Paper Pumpkin kits? I took some old boxes and labeled them to divide out labels/tags, die-cut elements, embellishments and card layers so I could easily pull from the boxes as I create new projects. For this project, I pulled some leftover stars from a past kit to add the perfect final touch- LOVE IT!

Projects Layers:

8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ (folded in half) Soft Suede cardstock
1″ x 4″ Bumblebee cardstock
1″ x 4″ Real Red cardstock
1″ x 4″ Night of Navy cardstock
3-1/2″ x 2″ Basic White cardstock- die cut label
4″ x 5-1/4″ Basic White cardstock (inside)

Today I am sharing a fun alternate project I created with the April 2021 So Cool Paper Pumpkin kit. Do you recognize the layout? Yes it’s super similar to the one I shared last week. Did you miss the post? You can see it HERE.

For this project I added some Pear Pizazz, Old Olive, Blackberry Bliss and Basic White cardstock and used the envelope from the kit to cut the designer paper layer. I love all the little extra stickers in the kit that we get to play with. They make great focal points and accents on your projects.

Today I am sharing the super cute alternate BONUS project each of the May class attendees created with the stamps from the April 2021 So Cool Paper Pumpkin kit.

I try to keep the BONUS project fast & easy each month. Of course I have to add a few layers. I love this layout as it could be used for just about any occasion by changing out the colors and focal point image.

The Stampin’ Blends are the perfect medium to add the bright colors to the watermelon slices on the inside and outside of the card. Don’t forget when you use these alcohol based markers, that they will bleed through the cardstock a bit so you want to be sure to layer them.

Projects Layers:

5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ (folded in half) Granny Apple Green cardstock
5-1/4″ x 2″ DSP (love this paper!)
4-1/2″ x 3/4″ Real Red cardstock- banner punch end & pop up with dimensionals
2-3/4″ x 2-3/4″ Basic White cardstock- die cut with 3rd largest circle
2-1/4″ x 1-1/4″ Basic White cardstock- fussy cut melon & pop up with dimensionals
5-1/4″ x 4″ Basic White cardstock (inside)

Today I am sharing the beautiful alternate BONUS project each of the April class attendees created with the March 2021 Here’s To You Paper Pumpkin kit. Since this kit came with the BONUS stencils, I wanted to be sure everyone had a chance to learn how to use them.

This layout was inspired by a card created by Melissa Seplowitz.

Typically the BONUS cards are fast & easy, but this one took a bit more time creating the mountain scenery. I personally think it was well worth it. I love all the beautiful colors!

Projects Layers:

4-1/4″ x 11″ (folded in half) Rich Razzleberry cardstock
4″ x 5-1/4″ Old Olive cardstock
3-7/8″ x 5-1/8″ DSP
2-1/4″ x 4″ Old Olive cardstock- stamp trees in background
3-1/2″ x 1/2″ Old Olive cardstock- stamp sentiment
8-1/2″ x 2-3/4″ Basic White cardstock. Use stencils to create scenery across strip. Cut out 2″ circles.
4″ x 5-1/4″ Basic White cardstock (inside)

Here’s To You (Paper Pumpkin Alternate)

Today I am sharing a gorgeous alternate project I created with my March 2021 Here’s To You Paper Pumpkin kit. Since this kit was all about the outdoors, I thought bringing in the Evergreen Forest 3D embossing folder was a perfect compliment.

I really like the floral layer peeking out between the embossed strips.

For this fast & easy project I started with one of the card bases from the kit.

Next I added some texture to (3) 1-1/4” x 3-3/4” Seaside Spray cardstock strips with Evergreen Forest embossing folder.

The strips are adhered to a 4-7/8” x 3-1/4” layer I cut from one of the printed envelope liners from kit and then linen thread is wrapped around the layers and tied into a bow before adhering to the card base.

The sentiment was stamped on Basic White cardstock and then die-cut with the Tasteful Labels Dies.

I’ll Always Be Here For You (Paper Pumpkin Alternate)

Each month my Paper Pumpkin subscribers that also attend my Forget Me Not (FMN) card class get to make a BONUS card for FREE as a thank you for being a subscriber.

Most month’s I feature the most recent kits stamp set to give some additional creative ideas so they can enjoy the stamp set long after the kit supplies are all used up.

Today I am sharing the alternate BONUS project each of the March class attendees created with the February 2021 Bouquet Of Hope Paper Pumpkin kit. This fabulous layout was inspired by a project created by Julie Davison.

For this project I pulled out leftover elements from several past kits. I don’t know about you, but I always have lots of great pieces left to use on other projects. I love to pull these out and mix and match them for new creations.

I started with a 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ piece of Petal Pink cardstock that I folded in half for the card base.

Next I layered a 5-1/4″ x 4″ piece of Basic White cardstock.

For the printed paper layers, I pulled envelopes and card layers from various kits to cut out the rectangles with the Postage Stamp Punch.

The sentiment was stamped on a leftover label with Mossy Meadow ink from the kit.

I finished the project with some flower and leaf die-cuts from some past kits and a twine bow.

Beautiful Bouquet (Paper Pumpkin Alternate)

Today I am sharing a fast & easy alternate project I created with my February 2021 Bouquet Of Hope Paper Pumpkin kit. The stamps in this particular kit were gear towards sympathy cards, but I think you could easily use this fun layout for any occasion simply by changing out your sentiment.

For this project, the only additional cardstock I added was the 4-1/4″ x 2-3/4″ Basic White layer on the card front. It is simply adhered to one of the beautiful printed card bases that came in the kit.

The bumblebee layers that look like Designer Series Paper were cut from one of the printed envelopes that came in the kit. I cut the strips 1-1/4″ x 3-3-/4″ and 3/4″ x 3-3/4″.

I finished the project with one of the die-cuts and the sequins from the kit.

Does the quarterly $300 minimum to remain active concern you? No worries…let’s break this down a bit:

You can do this all at once to take advantage of the Host Rewards or in multiple orders (there is no limit). It is approx. $3.41 a day when you break it down.
Your personal orders count towards your quarter sales (I am my best customer!-he he)
For your first quarter you have from the time you sign up until the end of the first full Stampin’ Up! quarter to meet the min. sales requirement.
