Today we have a wonderful hop showcasing additional projects we created using the Nests of Winter Suite Collection featured in our November 2024 tutorial.  I hope you enjoy my creation.

As the holiday season approaches, finding time to craft thoughtful handmade cards can be a challenge, but it’s also incredibly rewarding. Today, I’m excited to share a quick and beautiful Christmas card tutorial that combines elegance with simplicity—a perfect project for even the busiest holiday schedule! This DIY card features a custom “Christmas bauble” focal point using an easy masking and blending technique. This design is versatile, too; you can easily adjust the colors and theme to suit any occasion.

Step-by-Step Highlights

In this tutorial, I’ll show you how to:

• Mask and Blend: Using masking paper, we’ll create a circle cut-out to create a bauble effect with ink blending. This step is fun and adds a pop of color around the stamped focal point, giving the look of a 3D ornament.
• Stamp Inside the Mask: I’ll demonstrate how to position a beautiful winter scene inside the bauble using the bird from the Winterly Tree Tops stamp set.
• Add Finishing Details: Finally, we’ll draw in the “string” for the bauble with a marker and add a ribbon bow for a simple but eye-catching touch.

This card is a perfect balance between creativity and efficiency, making it easy to recreate with just a few tools and supplies.
