A Greeting Card Layout That Will Make Your Life Easy (Video)

Do you ever struggle trying to figure out the card layout you want to use? I have been right there with you. Design is something that can take hours if you don’t have something already in mind. Sometimes we just need something fast & easy when we want to create a little more quickly.

Today I have a super cute celebration card I created in my Tuesday YouTube LIVE where I used a layout that can easily be used over and over again to make your life easier when it comes to creating.

This go to layout can be used in any color and occasion you need with a quick change in colors and images, making your life a little easier.

While I did a little stamping on the card base (the images in the Sweetest Cherries Bundle and the Share a Milkshake Bundle coordinate so well) and used a few different widths of pattern papers (loving that stinkin cute Country Gingham paper) to decorate the background of the card base for this project, you could keep this super simple by quickly adding a couple of simple strips to the background or even just a textured layer for some interest.

Once the background is selected all you have left to decide on is the focal point. For this reusable layout, you can choose any shape to create your focal point. Keep it simple with a stamped image or add a little more pizazz building up some elements as I have on this project.

Stampin’ Up! truly makes mixing and matching various products so easy. The little cherry images in the upcoming Share a Milkshake stamp set made a darling stamped background to go with my larger punched cherries created with the Sweetest Cherries Bundle from our Annual Catalog. Oh and that Country Gingham paper….Oh my, oh my. That is one you will not want to miss out on.

As a Demonstrator, one of the perks is being able to order upcoming products a month before they are available to the public. A few of the products I used on today’s project will be available in the January-April Mini Catalog.

Let’s face it, as a card maker, we tend to end up with LOTS of little strips of paper, but what do you do with them?

Today I have a sweet birthday card I created in my Tuesday YouTube LIVE where I used some of my little strips of paper to create a colorful background that highlights my focal point. What a fantastic way to avoid wasting all those wonderful prints & patterns.
