Today I am sharing a fun card we made at my August Diemonds team meeting. I am really enjoying the versatility of the Woodland textured impressions embossing folder.

To create this spooky background I started with a piece of 5″ x 3 3/4″ Whisper White cardstock. I punched a 2″ circle out of a large sticky note and placed it where I wanted my moon.

I used my sponge and burnished (work in a circular motion to rub the ink into the cardstock) the bottom section of the cardstock with Crushed Curry ink.

Next I burnished using Tangelo Twist ink. I overlapped the Crushed Curry to blend the colors a bit.

I repeated with my Cajun Craze ink along the top section of the card front.

When you remove the sticky note you will have a nice white moon.

I used my sponge to color my moon in with Crushed Curry.

I added a bit of Tangelo Twist ink to the center of the moon.

I used my brayer to add Momento Black ink to the raised trees on the Woodland embossing folder.

Place your burnished cardstock in the folder facing the brayered trees. Run the entire piece through the bigshot.  I found if I went back and forth one time I got a bit better coverage when the ink transferred to the cardstock. Super cool right?
