Today I am sharing one of the fun cards we made at the September FMN class. The general layout was inspired by a card I made at convention. It’s a basic card with and extra band that wraps over the front of the card creating a really cool dimension to the card don’t you think?
I created my own ink pad using baby wipes and our Classic ink re-inkers so I could get a nice variegated look with my fall colors. I used this “ink pad” for the majority of the stamping. I did throw in some gold metallic ink splatter here and there as well.
When you open the front flap with the Thanks on it, this is what you see on the next layer. I used the Merry Everything bundle to grate the tag with the greeting on it.
This is the inside of the card. The strip that wraps to the front is stamped with the little leaves from the Holiday Invitation stamp set and adhered to the card inside. I really like how the Naturals Ivory and the Very Vanilla card stocks layer together for a feel of added texture.
