Today I am sharing a couple cards I made using my June 2014 Paper Pumpkin Pinwheel Party kit to show an alternate way to use your kit supplies. I added some smoky slate, real red, and night of navy cardstock to put together the card bases.
I reduced the size of the pinwheel to fit on the front of a card. Trim 1/2" off each of the 4 sides of one of the pinwheel bases and then assemble the pinwheel as instructed.
Tip: when you trim the sides down you will be cutting off the precut holes for the brad. I adhered my points down with glue dots and then used the paper piercer to punch a hole thru the layers to add the brad.
I used the new large polka dot embossing folder to create some texture on the front card layer.
One the second card I used the chevon embossing folder to add some texture on the front card layer.
I took a scrap of real red polka dot paper from the brights paper stack and used the new star framelits to cut out a star for the center of the pinwheel to change it up a bit.
Hope you enjoy!
