Today I am sharing the samples I made with my July 2016 What a Gem Paper Pumpkin Kit. I thought these little boxes were so cute. You could easily use them for a treat or make ornaments out of them to hang from your Christmas tree.
Eventhough I had a use for the little boxes, I know most of my subscribers are all about cards and not so much about the 3D items so I decided to make the rest of my kit into cards.
I adhered all the polka dot boxes together to make a larger sheet and cut it apart like I would designer paper. Worked great!
I pulled out some Night of Navy, Emerald Envy, Flirty Flamingo and Whisper White cardstock and the coordinating classic ink pads.
This first card is a Night of Navy card base.
The Emerald Envy layer is cut 5 1/8″ x 2 5/8″ and I added the stamped 5″ x 2 1/2″ Whisper White layer on top of it.
I adhered the 3 5/8″ x 2 3/8″ cut up box onto the 3 3/4″ x 2 1/2″ piece of Flirty Flamingo cardstock and then popped the layer up on the card front with dimensional dots.
This next card is a Emerald Envy card base.
I adhered the 5″ x 1/2″ stamped Whisper White strip along the left side of the 5″ x 2″ cut up box , added some of the Flirty Flamingo twine and then popped the layer up on the card front with dimensional dots.
This card is a Night of Navy card base.
I adhered the 4″ x 5 1/4″ cut up box onto the card front with dimensional dots after I added the Emerald Envy twine around the layer. I had a couple of holes from the boxes showing I didn’t like so I added a couple of triangles to cover the holes.
This fouth card is a Night of Navy card base.
The Emerald Envy layer I stamped with Night of Navy ink is cut 5 1/8″ x 7/8″. I added some cut off tag points I stamped along the strip as well.
I adhered the 5″ x 1 7/8″ cut up box onto the 5 1/8″ x 2 ” piece of Emerald Envy cardstock and then adhered the layer up on the card front.
This next card is also a Night of Navy card base.
I adhered the 5″ x 5/8″ stamped Whisper White strip along the left side of the 5″ x 1 7/8″ cut up box , added some of the Emerald Envy twine and then popped the layer up on the card front with dimensional dots.
This sixth card is a Flirty Flamingo card base.
I added the stamped 5 1/8″ x 2″ Whisper White layer on top of it.
I adhered the 4″ x 2 1/4″ cut up box onto the 4 1/8″ x 2 3/8″ piece of Emerald Envy cardstock and then popped the layer up on the card front with dimensional dots.
This next card is a Night of Navy card base that I stamped down the right side of the card front with Night of Navy ink.
I adhered the 5 1/2″ x 1 7/8″ cut up box to a 5 1/2″ x 2 1/4″ stamped strip of Flirty Flamingo cardstock added some of the Flirty Flamingo twine along both sides and then popped the layer up on the card front with dimensional dots.
For the last card I could not resist pulling out the Big Shot. I embossed the Night of Navy card base with the Softly Falling embossing folder.
I used the Layering Squares framelits to cut the scallop edge along some Emerald Envy cardstock scraps and adhered those to the bottoms of some of the rectangle pieces I had left from the boxes to create this cute Christmas Tree.
I hope you loved the cards I made with my kit. Leave a comment on the post and tell me what you think. I would love to know which one was your favorite
