Today I am sharing one of the lovely Christmas cards we made at my October 2018 FMN card class that was inspired by one of the samples on page 3 of the Holiday catalog.
Do you use the Stampin! Up!® catalogs for inspiration? They are such a great resource to get project ideas from. Even if you don’t have all the supplies used in the sample, you can substitute products you do have to change it up a bit. That’s what I did on today’s card.
With the Merry Christmas to All stamp set and coordinating Merry Christmas thinlit dies you can say it all this holiday season… Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, Happy Christmas, and much more to your loved ones. Plus you can purchase these great products in a bundle and save 10%-Love it!
When using dies like the Merry Christmas thinlits, I find it super helpful to back the paper with adhesive sheets prior to die-cutting the image. This way you can just peel and stick vs dealing with messy glue.
I also found when using the larger photopolymer stamp images like the sentiment on the inside of this card, that I get a much cleaner image if I make sure I have the foam pad under my cardstock. Technically it’s a piercing mat, but I use it when stamping as well. You can see in my picture below that I missed a couple of places in the larger sentiment because I forgot to use my foam pad. 🙂
Mixing the glimmer paper in with the regular cardstock when punching my sprigs gave just the right amount of sparkle I was looking for.
A few Red Rhinestones added the finishing touch.
