Today I am sharing the fun cards I made using the May Paper Pumpkin kit. As soon as I opened this months paper pumpkin I knew I was going to love it.
I was excited to see the kit was geared towards the males in our life.
I started off making one of the gift cards and one of the full size cards as pictured in the instructions.
I just could not resist pulling out some of my favorite retiring designer paper and adding liners to my envelopes.
Before adhering all of my layers down on my 3rd card, I used the star from the Circle card thinlits to cut stars out of the covered area of the wasabi printed diecut adhesive sheet to use on a couple of the cards.
When I originally stamped and trimmed off the greeting for the 1st notecard I made a mis-take and cut too close to my words to tie the twine and had to re-do it. I still wanted to use the original pieces, so here I put what I cut apart back together with a bit of a twist.
I hate to admit that I had not used the candy dots before. I just love them! So fun, come in all our core colors and stinkin easy to use.
I love using the negative pieces from the die cut adhesive sheets to add the little zig zag strips.
I cut of the 2nd note card to use the pieces on several of the other cards. On this one I added just a small arrow to one end of my tag.
I was having such a great time, so when I ran out of card bases, I grabbed a sheet of vanilla cardstock to create a couple more cared. I embossed the card fronts with the Arrows embossing folder to add a bit more texture to my last couple of cards.
I used several more arrows cut from the note card front on this card as well.
I used the back of the note card for the wasabi layer and punched it with the Chevron border punch.
I get so excited to see what each months kit is and really enjoying creating the projects. I find when I am finished I immediately start thinking about what surprise is in store for us next month. Can't wait for June!
