Today I am sharing a lovely quick card taught at our Diemonds team meeting by Nancy Phillips featuring the Petal Passion designer series paper (DSP).
This is one of my favorite papers. I love how you can simply add color to these hand painted black and white watercolor designs and let them flourish!
We colored just a couple of the flowers on the DSP with the Rich Razzleberry and Old Olive light and dark Blends to spotlight them. We also colored the background of the print with the light Pool Party blend which I think really makes the flowers pop a bit more.
Did you notice the punched sentiment appears to be layered with Basic Black cardstock? We created this look by cutting the black punched label in half and spreading it apart when adhearing it to the punched sentiment.
Card Layers:
- 5-1/2″x 8-1/2″(folded in half) Pool Party cardstock
- 5-1/8″ x 3-7/8″ Basic Black cardstock
- 5″x 3-3/4″ DSP
- 3/4″ x 3-1/2″ Basic Black cardstock-banner cut end
