Welcome to our Aim for Alaska Blog hop! You may be wondering what this hop is all about – we are a group of demonstrators that are part of a support program set up by Kylie Bertucci. In this group there is a wealth of knowledge from Kylie and her guest speakers designed to help demonstrators reach their goals within Stampin’ Up!
The theme for this hop is the 2017/18 Annual Catalog Sneak Peek. I am excited to share my creation featuring a few products from the Color Theory Suite from the new Annual Catalog.
Summer, spring, winter, autumn… the Colorful Seasons stamp set has everything you need to create projects all year long. I am especially loving the beautiful brushstrokes of the sentiments in this stamp set.
Did you also notice the cool designer paper and glitter enamel dots?
The Color Theory paper stack was designed with a paint chip style color variation on one side, wood grain or paint crackle on the other side…so cool right?
The glitter enamel dots come in ombre shades of 4 colors AND they sparkle…enough said.
Card layers:
- 11″ x 4 1/4″-score @ 5 1/2″ Thick White cardbase
- 5 1/2″ x 1 1/2″ Designer Paper- the cracked paint look is so cool!
- 4 3/8″ x 3 1/8″ Dapper Denim cardstock
- 4 1/4″ x 3″ Thick White cardstock
- 3 1/4″ x 1″ Berry Burst cardstock- die cut
- 1 1/8″ x 3″ Designer Paper
- 1/2″ x 3″ Designer Paper
- 5/8″ x 3″ Designer Paper
- 3″ x 3″ Designer Paper-die cut
For the designer paper on the front of my card I cut up one of the sheet from the paper stack. You can see the full sheet on the left side of the picture and what I used on the right side. As I created each card I just selected different shades for each piece. The 2nd strip is the back side of the paper.
I found it was easiest to achieve my desired placement by adhering the top and bottom strips first and then adding the center strip.
I stamped my greeting on the dapper denim ombre sheet from the paper stack and then cut it out with the Big Shot and 2nd largest circle in the Stitched Shapes framelits. I think the extra stitched line adds a really nice finish to the die cut shape.
I was so happy with how my card turned out that I also used this project for my Diemonds team swap. Hope they like it as much as I do.
