Today I am sharing the cards I made using the June 2016 Paper Pumpkin Banner Surprise Kit. This kit was super fun and I could not believe I made so many different cards with it.
I did the first 2 cards as per the instructions with the banner wrapped around the card. I did Happy on the first banner and Baby on the 2nd one.
Much cuter in real life than I thought it would be.
On the baby card I used the splatter stamp with Mint Macaron, Tip Top Taupe, Peekaboo Peach and Flirty Flamingo to stamp the white stripes on the card front. So sweet!
Next I pulled out some Whisper White, Mint Macaron, Peekaboo Peach, Tip Top Taupe and Flirty Flamingo cardstock and started cutting up the kit card bases. I just hate to use the printed cardstock for a full card.
On this next card I used the Flirty Flamingo for my card base and added a 5 1/4″ x 4″ layer of Peekaboo Peach and then my decorated striped card layer I cut down to 5 1/8″ x 3 7/8″.
Did you notice I added the banner to the card front under the washi tape?
I could not resist pulling out my 2″ circle punch, a scrap of window sheet and the new foam adhesive strips to create a shaker card.
I cut the striped card layer down to 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″ and adhered it to a Whisper White card base to create my shaker element in between the layers.
A shaker card always puts a smile on my face.
This next card has a Peekaboo Peach card base with the striped layer cut down to 5 1/4″ x 4″. I did break out some Gold Metallic Thread as well.
I really like the look of adding the washi tape along the white stripes.
For this card I decided to go ahead and leave the card base as per the kit and then added the 3 1/2″ x 3 1/2″ Mint Macaron square layer to the front. The Whisper White layer is 3 1/4″ x 3 1/4″.
For this next card I cut the striped cardstock piece down to 3″ x 4 1/4″. I then cut some gold foil strips from the foil adhesive scraps that came in the kit to layer along the top and bottom edges. I also added small strips of mint macaron to the top and bottom edges.
I could not resist adding some Gold Metallic Thread to this one as well.
For this card I used a Peekaboo Peach card base and added a 2″ strip of the striped cardstock. I added washi tape to cover the white stripes.
I cut the Gold Foil banners from the foil adhesive scraps.
The kit had so many of the Whisper White die cut circles so I decided to make a fun scallop border along the bottom of the strip.
I stamped the circles first and then cut them in half before layering them together.
This next one was super quick. I used a Whisper White card base.
Remember the shaker card I did above? Well I used the 2″ circle I punched out to create the shaker on the front of this card.
I used a Whisper White card base for this next card as well.
I added a 1″ strip of the striped cardstock. I then cut another strip 3/8″ wide and flipped it over and stamped the splatter before adding it to the card front.
Did you notice the gold foil scallop edge only the strips? I created this with a row of the foil hearts.
I used the 2″ circle punch to create the Peekaboo Peach circle I layered behind the stamped Whisper White circle.
This next card has a Peekaboo Peach card base.
I cut the striped card layer 5″ x 3 3/4″ and stamped the white stripes with the splatter.
I added 2″ x 2″ Whisper White squares in opposite corners behind the striped layer before adding it to the card front.
This last card is my favorite one. I did a Flirty Flamingo card base and added a 5 3/8″ x 4 1/8″Whisper White layer.
For the next layer I used a 4 3/8″ x 3 1/8″ piece of Peekaboo Peach and then added a 4 1/4″ x 3″ piece of the striped cardstock.
Which of the 12 cards is your favorite one?
Here is a sneak peek of the August kit stamp set. It’s a 4″ x 5″ photopolymer stamp set, a $16 USD/$20 CAD value!
