When I first saw the colors of the July Thanks a Latte Paper Pumpkin kit I was not very excited (I am not an orange fan), but I must say after playing a bit, I am loving this kit-including the color combo!
I did make my first card as instructed and was good with it until Nancy Phillips showed up at club night and brought a piece of Pumpkin Pie cardstock to layer on the front of each of her cards and it looked so great!
On my next card of course I had to add an embossed layer of 5 1/4″ x 4″ Pumpkin Pie cardstock. I used the Lovely Lace embossing folder to try to pick up some of the floral appearance from the elegant printed basic grey layer.
On my next card I changed the additional layer to the Basic Grey cardstock and I liked it even better (not so much orange :)).
I continued to play with different layers and changing how I popped them up as I created the rest of my cards. It still amazes me how a layer can really change the look of a card.
On this one I did a 5 1/4″ x 4″ Basic Grey layer and also add a 4 5/8″ x 3 5/8″ layer of Pumpkin Pie cardstock.
On this one I did a 4 3/4″ x 3 3/4″ layer of Cucumber Crush cardstock.
On this one I embossed the card base and also added a 4 5/8″ x 3 5/8″ layer of Cucumber Crush cardstock.

Hope You Enjoy!
