When I opened my January 2014 Paper Pumpkin – Love Notes kit I decided I just could not hide these fun card base colors. As I started playing, I quickly realized the color combos were a bit outside my comfort zone, but the kit came together wonderfully.
I kept my first card very simple and only used what came in the box.
How excited were you to get a full package of the In-Color Boutique Details? So cool. Right? I could not resist adding these embellishments to a couple of my cards.
On the second card I decided to cut the front and insert a strip of basic grey cardstock that I punched using the Scallop Edge Border punch.
On my third card I folded the front of the card back to reveal the crumb cake side of the card. I wanted to give it some depth so I secured it in place with dimensionals.
I could not resist adding several of the embellishments and another strip of basic grey cardstock that I punched using the Scallop Edge Border punch to the folded back section of the card front.
On my last card I decided to add a piece from the sale-a-bration heartfelt banner kit.
This card would make a fun love note to someone special and was so easy to put together.
I hope you enjoyed playing with your first paper pumpkin kit of the year. I can't wait to see what else is coming up!
