Today I am sharing a fast and easy super cool birthday card I created using a spotlighting technique. The Botanical Butterfly Designer Series paper (DSP) was the perfect choice for today’s creation.
This paper pack is full of bountiful butterflies in beautiful colors., but my favorite is the black-and-white imagery. You can easily add your own color.

I colored the inside layer using the Lovely Lipstick and Flirty Flamingo Stampin’ Blends. I love this great pop of color!
A portion of the embossed sentiment is also colored with the blends.
Card Layers:
- 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ (folded in half) Thick White cardstock
- 5-1/4″ x 4″ DSP- die cut
- 3-3/4″ x 2-3/8″ Basic Black cardstock- die cut
- 1-1/4″ x 3-1/4″ Basic Black cardstock- die cut
