Ever sat down to craft and felt completely stuck on where to start? I’ve got a trick that will make sure you NEVER run out of card ideas again!
This past weekend, my friend Melanie Hockin and I hosted an after-event called Craftermath at OnStage (a fun demonstrator event), where we helped attendees build their own creative reference albums—aka, a sketchbook for cardmaking.
Using card sketches from the January-April 2025 Stampin’ Up! catalog, we designed 12 different projects using 3 Ephemera packs—no stamping required, just quick & easy creativity! Each completed card and its sketch were slid into an album, creating a go-to inspiration guide for future projects.
The best part? You can do this too! With a simple album, page inserts, and a few card sketches, you can build your own library of ideas—so whenever you feel stuck, all you have to do is flip through for instant inspiration.
Tip: Keep adding to your album over time, mixing in different papers, embellishments, and layouts to create a treasure trove of creative ideas!
Let’s Put This Idea into Action!
I pulled out one of my favorite sketches from the catalog and created this quick & easy card using the Washes & Florals Tags Mix & Match Ephemera.
Here’s how you can make your own version in just minutes!
