How to Create a Peekaboo Card Using Designer Series Paper (6 Easy Variations) (Video)

Sometimes the hardest part of cardmaking isn’t the cutting or stamping —
it’s deciding which paper to use and trusting that it will all come together.

This week’s project is a perfect reminder that great design doesn’t require complicated steps. With one simple layout and the Easter Joy Designer Series Paper, I created six different peekaboo cards — each one a little different, and each one just as charming as the next.

Why This Design Works

This peekaboo card layout is intentionally simple:

• One thick white card base
• One embossed color layer for subtle texture
• One square of patterned paper with a circle cut from the center

By flipping and repositioning the circle, you let the paper do the work for you. The result feels polished, playful, and balanced — without overthinking placement or color choices.

A Confidence Tip

If Designer Series Paper ever makes you hesitate, try this:

Commit to one layout and change only the paper.

When you remove the pressure of “designing from scratch,” you give yourself permission to create freely — and that’s where confidence grows.
