Today I am sharing a cut out window fun fold card I made for an achievers swap I recently participated in featuring the Hey Chick stamp set. This is one of the fabulous products being offered for FREE during the SAB promotion.
To create this fold I scored a piece of 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ Basic Black cardstock at 4″ and a fat 6 1/4″. Z-fold the card as shown.
Cut along the left edge with the fringe scissors.
I stamped the chicks in Crumb Cake ink randomly all over the 1 7/8″ x 5 1/2″ Crumb Cake cardstock and then added just a bit of adhesive to hold the layer in place while cutting out the circle.
Center the die over the fold line and cut the circle out of the layers.
I stamped one of the little fat chickens in Stazon ink on the 5 1/4″ x 3 3/4″ Crumb Cake cardstock layer so the chick is inside the cut out window.
I stamped the greeting so it was hidden behind the folded layer.
I used an old blender pen along with some bleach to bleach out the cardstock at the head, tail feathers and wing. I love the yellow look the cardstock bleached out to.
I changed to a newer blender pen and used Crumb Cake, Pumpkin Pie, Real Red and Soft Suede ink to color in my chick.
