This is a very special day for me… I have the privilege of being a guest for the Crazy Crafter’s Blog Hop! Thank you so much Kylie Bertucci for inviting me to participate!!!
All of the participants in this hop are to find a project from my blog to CASE (Copy and Selectively Edit) to share in today’s hop. This means they draw inspiration from my work – but make it their own-LOVE IT! It is such a great way to get inspiration without feeling like you have to copy it exactly. I am super excited to see which of my projects have inspired others.
I went back though my projects and chose a couple different projects and combined them to create today’s project.
Here is the link to the Standing Traveler post that inspired the fun fold and triple stamping technique.
Here is the link to the Black Ice Mountain post that inspired the technique.
My card I am sharing today features the stunning Heartfelt Blooms stamp set that is available FREE with a qualifying order during Sale-A-Bration. The Heartfelt Blooms set is a new Distinktive stamp that lays down the ink at different opacities, giving the finished image more depth. This stamp is just as lovely stamped in one color as it is stamped in a neutral color and colored in your favorite shades. CLICK HERE for full Sale-A-Bration promotion details.
The standing fun fold stands up on it’s own to be displayed PLUS folds up flat making it super easy to drop in the mail!
The floral image is just perfect for not only the triple stamping technique, but the Black Ice embossing technique as well.
To create the standing fun fold card base I started with a 5-1/2″x 8-1/2″ piece of Basic Black cardstock and scored/cut as per the template below.
Additional Card Layers:
- (2) 5-1/4″ x 1-3/4″ DSP
- (4) 3/4″ x 7/8″ DSP
- 5-1/4″ x 2″ DSP
- 5-1/4″ x 2″ Whisper White cardstock (back)
- 1-3/4″x 1-3/4″ Silver Foil
- 2″ x 2″ Basic Black cardstock
- 2-1/2″x 2-1/2″ Silver Foil
- 2-3/4″ x 2-3/4″ Basic Black cardstock
- 3-3/4″x 3-3/4″ Silver Foil
- 4″ x 4″ Basic Black cardstock
This is the front and back of the card when fully opened.
To create the focal point I started by dragging the Black Archival ink pad down the surface of each of the Silver Foil pieces.
I temporarily adhered the two smaller Silver Foil pieces together and stamped the floral image in Black Archival ink.
Next I used the Heat Tool to dry the ink on all the Silver Foil pieces.
Pull the layers apart and drag the Versamark ink pad down the surface of each of the Silver Foil pieces and embossed in Clear Powder.
Adhere all the layers together to complete the card.
Hope You Enjoy,
