Expressing gratitude is a beautiful way to connect with others, and what better way to do so than with a handmade card? In this tutorial, we’ll be creating a charming thank you card using simple techniques that anyone can master. Whether you’re a seasoned crafter or just starting, this project is perfect for adding a personal touch to your expressions of gratitude.
Instructions:
- Begin by selecting a variety of patterned paper scraps to create a unique background for your card. Cut the scraps into different lengths.
- Arrange the paper scraps on the cardstock layer, overlapping them slightly to create visual interest.
- Once you’re happy with the arrangement, adhere the paper scraps to the layer using your favorite adhesive.
- Using the Sweetly Scripted stamp set, stamp a thank you sentiment onto a 5/8″ strip of cardstock.
- Next, take a piece of twine and create a multi-looped bow. Start by forming a loop and then continue wrapping the twine around your fingers to create additional loops. Secure the bow in the center by wrapping and looping the end of the twine through (I show how to do this in the video below). Trim the ends
- Adhere the twine bow to the back of the sentiments.
- Adhere the sentiment to the card.
- Your handmade thank you card is now ready to brighten someone’s day!
