Today I am sharing a happy day card that is perfect to send to a friend we made at a recent NC Demos event featuring the Cool Treats stamp set and Frozen Treats framelits.
At the meeting we learned and got to try two great techniques when making this card.
For the background we took the Peekaboo Peach Ombre pad and drug it across the front of the cardstock- so simple and makes a great look!
The second technique is called raised ink. To create this look we used the fine tip glue pen to color over the stamped chocolate and then let it dry. Isn’t it cool how it looks like there is actual hot fudge on the ice cream?
Card Layers:
- 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ (folded in half) Peekaboo Peach cardbase
- 5 1/4″ x 4″ Early Espresso cardstock
- 5″ x 3 3/4″ Very Vanilla cardstock- dag ink across layer
- 5 1/4″ x 4″ Very Vanilla cardstock- card inside
- 1 1/2″ x 4 1/4″ Very Vanilla cardstock- banner cut ends
- 3 3/4″ x 3 3/4″ Very Vanilla cardstock- die cut
