Today I am sharing a bright and cheery thank you card we made at our Diemond team meeting created by Sheila Tatum.
I was super excited when Sheila agreed to teach the lattice fold to us. Don’t you think it’s AWESOME?
Creating the lattice fold was actually really easy to do.
Sheila provided a template for us that we placed along the fold edge of our 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ Night of Navy card base.
We clipped through both layers of the card base along the lines of the template and then removed the template.
Next we clipped out the bottom lattice piece as shown below.
Open the card base up and fold the clipped shape down.
Tuck the point under the previous point to hold it in place.
Repeat until every other clipped piece is folded and tucked under. Take the piece we previously clipped away and tuck it under the top point and adhere the ends back to the card base to complete the lattice. Love it!
Card Layers:
- 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ (folded in half) Night of Navy cardstock.
- 5 1/4″ x 2 3/4″ lemon Lime Twist cardstock
- 5″ x 3″ DSP
- 2 1/2″ x 2 1/2″ Night of Navy cardstock- die cut square frame
- 2 3/4″ x 51/2″ Lemon Lime Twist cardstock- stamp/punch
- 5 1/4″ x 3 1/4″ Whisper White cardstock- inside layer
