DIY Scalloped Window Gift Box | Elegant Handmade Gift Idea (Video)

There’s something extra special about giving a handmade gift that feels thoughtful, polished, and personal.

Today’s project features a beautiful scalloped window gift box created with the Scalloped Blooms bundle and Artisan Sketched Garden Designer Series Paper (DSP). The layered florals, soft shimmer details, and coordinating papers come together to create a project that looks elegant while still being very approachable to recreate at home.

One of my favorite things about projects like this is how the small design details do so much of the work for you. The combination of layered paper, soft coloring, dimension, ribbon, and shimmer instantly creates a polished look without requiring overly complicated techniques.

If you’ve ever wanted your handmade gifts to feel more meaningful and memorable without spending hours figuring everything out, this is a wonderful project to try.

The scalloped window detail adds such a fun interactive element while also giving the recipient a little peek inside the project. I also love how adding coordinating designer paper around the sides and top of the box helps the entire project feel cohesive and complete.

Projects like this are also a great reminder that you do not need complicated techniques to create something beautiful. Sometimes thoughtful layering, color coordination, and a few special details are all it takes to create a project that feels truly special.

For the floral focal point, I used images from the Artisan Sketch Designer Series Paper and colored them with the new In Color Stampin’ Blends markers along with a touch of shimmer from one of the Shimmer Brushes. The soft coloring paired with the bold black outlines creates beautiful contrast and helps the flowers stand out against the darker layers.

The shimmer adds just enough sparkle to catch the light without overwhelming the design.

One of my favorite parts of this project is that the box is designed to hold coordinating mini note cards, making the entire gift feel even more thoughtful and complete.

I’ll actually be sharing the coordinating note cards during my online workshop this Friday.

So if you love projects that feel polished, coordinated, and giftable, you are definitely going to want to see the full set come together.

This type of project is perfect for birthdays, thank-you gifts, encouragement gifts, teacher gifts, or simply brightening someone’s day with something handmade.

And because the overall design is easy to customize, you could easily recreate this idea using different papers, sentiments, and color combinations from your own supplies.

Just a simple base, a few layers, and thoughtful details that bring it all together.

DIY Treat & Gift Card Holder | Repurpose Packaging for a Cute Spring Gift (Video)

Have you ever looked at packaging from your crafting supplies and thought, “I bet I could use that for something!”

In today’s project, I’m sharing a treat and gift card holder that repurposes packaging you might normally toss away. This fun design holds five Merci chocolates and a gift card, making it perfect for spring gifting, teacher appreciation, or a sweet surprise for a friend.

For this project, I combined products from the Cute as a Bug Suite with the Homemade Sweetness Designer Series Paper (DSP) and Filled with Sweetness Dies to create a bright, cheerful design.

Project Inspiration

I originally shared a similar idea at Kevin’s Winter Retreat this past January, and the response was incredible. Many attendees loved the concept of turning everyday packaging into a functional project.

Today I’m showing a new variation using the adorable ladybug paper and bright spring colors.

This version uses:

A Flirty Flamingo card base
Layers of Strawberry Slush cardstock
Homemade Sweetness Designer Series Paper (DSP) with ladybugs and flowers
Dies from the Sweet Bugs bundle and Filled with Sweetness Dies

What This Project Holds

This design creates a treat and gift card holder in one project.

Inside the cello bag are:

Five Merci chocolates
A decorative ribbon belly band to hold everything in place

On the back, a pocket holds a gift card, making it perfect for birthdays, thank-you gifts, or spring celebrations.

Clever Crafty Tip

One of my favorite parts of this project is repurposing the clear packaging from Stampin’ Dimensionals to hold the chocolates.

Instead of tossing it away, it becomes the perfect container for treats inside the card!

Little creative solutions like this help you stretch your supplies and reduce waste while making something beautiful.

I hope this project inspires you to look at everyday packaging in a new way and turn it into something creative.

How to Make a Halloween Gift Card + Treat Holder | WOW DIY Project (Video)

Ready to make a Halloween project that will seriously WOW?

Today I’m sharing a Halloween version of the Christmas Gift Card Treat Holder I taught this weekend at the NC Demos Fall Quarterly (hosted by my team member Jennifer Hamlin).

At the event, I was honored to serve as “MC” and teach all of the projects to fellow demonstrators — and this one was a huge hit! It’s part treat box, part gift card holder, and 100% fun.

Unlike the quick treats you might hand out to trick-or-treaters, this project is more elaborate — making it perfect for:

It’s a gift all on its own, but with space for a gift card AND treats, it’s sure to bring a big smile.

What I Used Today

For this version, I featured the Fright Night stamp and die bundle paired with the Spooky Sweet Designer Series Paper (DSP) for a fun Halloween twist.

Make a Mini Tote Gift That’s as Fun to Give as It Is to Receive! (Video)

Looking for a creative way to package up a small treat or gift card? This week’s project is a sweet little 3D tote bag that you can create entirely from paper—yes, really! It’s the perfect way to add a handmade touch to your gifting, and it’s easier than you think.

In today’s tutorial, I’m walking you through how to create this adorable tote using the Notes & Totes dies. We’re using floral pattern paper from the Celebratory Sips suite, layering on glimmer accents, and finishing it off with a tiny paper “newspaper” and some truffles tucked inside. I even lined the inside of the handles for a polished, high-end look. This is such a fun way to turn your favorite designer paper into a dimensional gift!

You’ll also see a few alternative tote ideas so you can make it your own—perfect for birthdays, showers, or just because.

Recreate Your Own Paper Ornament

In the video tutorial, I walk you through the steps to roll 2” strips of paper, adhere them in layers, and create this cute little tree ornament. It’s a simple yet effective design that adds a handmade touch to any holiday gift or decor setup.

I used the Take a Bow Designer Series Paper to give it that perfect holiday vibe, but you can easily switch it up with any of your favorite patterned papers. To top it off, I added a die-cut star using the Decorative Trees Dies and attached the Gold Twisted Thread (avail. 11/5) for hanging. It’s the little details that make this ornament so special!

Are you ready to dive into a world of creativity and craft a card that’s not only quick, but also incredibly cute? Join me on this crafting journey as we explore the charming Hey, Chuck Bundle by Stampin’ Up!

Today, I’m excited to show you how to:

Craft your own pattern paper using stamps
Add a splash of color to your purchased pattern papers with Stampin’ Blends.

Let’s jump right in!

Let’s start with creating our own pattern paper. This is a fun way to express your unique creativity.

Crafting Your Own Pattern Paper:

Stamp Selection: Start by choosing the adorable stamps from the Hey, Chuck Bundle. The playful images of the rooster, balloons, and more are perfect for adding character to your project. For today’s project, I selected the Birthday Cake image.
Ink Choices: Select ink colors that resonate with your card’s theme. Remember, we’re crafting our own pattern paper, so feel free to mix and match! Pebbled Path was my ink color of choice to create a fun tone on tone print.
Stamp Away: Stamp your selected images onto the cardstock, creating a delightful pattern that’s uniquely yours. Watch as your cardstock transforms into a canvas of creativity!

Have you ever had a pattern paper you wanted just a bit more color for the project your working on? Adding a little pop of color to your pattern papers with Stampin’ Blends alcohol markers is a fast and easy way to transform the design for added depth and coordination.

Adding Color with Stampin’ Blends to Pattern Papers:

Blend Brilliance: Now, let’s add some color to our purchased pattern paper. Choose Stampin’ Blends in coordinating shades to bring life to your stamped images. In the variations shown I added some Real Red ink in various patterns. Be sure to watch the video below to see the alternate I created adding in some Daffodil Delight as well.
Depth and Dimension: To create depth, mix and match darker and lighter shades.

Welcome to a heartwarming crafting adventure!

Today, I’m thrilled to share with you a delightful DIY project that combines cuteness and functionality that I created in my Tuesday YouTube LIVE featuring the Hey Chuck Bundle by Stampin’ Up!

Whether you want to surprise someone on a special occasion or simply spread some love and joy, this Treat & Gift Card Holder is the perfect way to show you care.

The Hey Chuck Bundle is something to crow about! It has everything you need to do some quirky crafting and try out some new techniques. The stamps are filled with funky chickens and fun sentiments. The dies match perfectly, allowing you to layer images for card elements. This bundle has maximum versatility to help you create whatever you’re dreaming up.

When creating this super cute project, I shared two fun crafty hacks…

Use the packaging from your Stampin’ Dimensionals for your cello bag to showcase your treats!
Add some additional colors to your pattern papers with your Stampin’ Blends or Stampin’ Write Markers for perfect coordination.

Which crafty hack will you try first?

I love that this layout is so fast & easy PLUS it can be used for any occasion with a quick change of the colors & sentiment.

Around the World on Wednesday Blog Hop – CAS(e) A Team Member!

Welcome to the Around the World on Wednesday Blog Hop where we will be travelling through every time zone across the globe. How fun!

We are an awesome group of stampers from all over the world who come together the 2nd Wednesday of every month to share some creative inspiration and smiles. You will want to be sure to visit each and every one of us to make sure you see all of the amazing projects.

If this is your first time visiting my blog, I am Wendy Lee from Pfafftown, North Carolina and I am happy you are stopping by.

This month’s theme is CAS(e) a team member! I hope you enjoy my creation I am sharing with you today!

For this challenge I was paired with Tania Tobin and we were charged with selecting another team member to CAS(e) and then make coordinating projects inspired by their creation.

When Tania and I spoke, we found we both love everyone on the team so much that we decided to spin the wheel (seriously, she created a wheel online and actually had it spin and randomly make our selection. How cool is that?!?) and…

the results are in! We are CASEing our fearless leader, Angie McKenzie! You can see Angie’s full post HERE for the project inspiration.

We selected the Sea Turtle stamp set and shades of green for our projects, but didn’t really plan anything beyond that. I am excited to see how our project coordination actually turned out.

For my project, I decided to create a giftable box with the same tone on tone feel and general layout of our inspiration project.

I kept this one super simple with the thought of making several of these boxes as gifts.

The sea turtles are stamped on the Lost Lagoon cardstock layers with Pretty Peacock ink and then heat embossed with clear powder to add a nice shiny finish. I so love we can use our Classic inks to heat emboss, but you have to remember you need a nice juicy ink pad and to apply the embossing powder right away to get good results.

Grace your cards and scrapbook pages with one of nature’s most majestic creatures: the sea turtle. The intricately detailed Sea Turtle Stamp Set includes a large sea turtle, a small sea turtle, a starfish, a sand dollar, a school of fish, and texture images. With so many images to mix and match, what will you create?

This is a Reversibles stamp set, which means it includes specialized photopolymer stamps that allow you to stamp with both sides of the stamp for greater versatility. How cool is that!

The finished box measures 3″ x 4″ x 1-1/4″ and holds 2 bars of handmade soaps. Who wouldn’t love a gift like this?

How To Make A Card & Treat Holder In One (Video)

Today I have a super fun card and treat holder in one that I created in my Tuesday YouTube LIVE where I shared multiple versions of this fun 3D project. Be sure to watch the replay below to check out all the variations.
