For me, there is nothing better than taking in all the fine details that make a card so special and texture is by far one of my favorite ways to add that Wow factor to any project.

Today I have a super fun card that I created in my Tuesday YouTube LIVE where I shared multiple ways to bring in that wonderful texture.

  1. Start with an embossing folder. This is a simple way to not only add visual texture, but actual raised details to delight your sense of touch as well. Take this a step further by applying a touch of ink to really allow the design to stand out.
  2. Bring in die-cut shapes. The uneven edges along the deckled rectangle lay add nice interest without being overdone.
  3. Designer Series Paper. I must admit, this is one of my favorites. Not only do the designs add visual texture, they also help make it super easy to determine awesome color combinations you may not have otherwise given a try.
  4. Embossed stamped images. Using the Sweet Cirtus Hybrid embossing folder and coordinating dies gives each citrus image amazing texture, adding the perfect touch to bring your focal point to life.

For today’s project, I featured some of the cheerful Sweet Citrus Bundle seen on page 49 of the January-April 2023 Mini Catalog.

The Sweet Citrus Bundle is three products in one—a stamp set, a 3D embossing folder, and dies! You can use these items separately for a clean, modern look. Or use them together to create such dimensional images, you’d think you could smell the zest!

This stamp set is full of zesty image stamps and sweet sentiments to send well wishes to your favorite people. The image style and font pairing beg for bright colors and punchy contrasts. Try layering some bright yellow and orange fruit slices against bold blue or green patterned paper for a fresh summer card.
