Today I am sharing a card design inspired by Deb Valder using a popular technique called Bokeh. This technique creates such an interesting background.
I started with a piece of Whisper White cardstock and burnished it with Night of Navy Classic Ink. Let ink dry before proceeding to next step.
I created a stencil with the circle collection framelits and a window sheet.
Sponge each of the circles in Whisper White craft ink and set aside to dry.
Then take a sponge dauber and sponge dots in each of the Colorbox Chalk Pad colors.
You may find you will need to go over the dots twice to give the look you are wanting as the color will lighten as it dries.
Once the colored dots are dry, add additional dots using the Whisper White craft ink. I also went over the dots more than once to create more contrast.
Once all the ink is dry you can add your greeting. On my 1st try I stamped the greeting in the Whisper White craft ink creating a subtle look and on my 2nd sample I embossed the greeting in white so it would stand out a bit more.
Hope you enjoy!
