Our theme for this highlight is Teachers Gifts and I hope you enjoy my project!
Today I am sharing a super cute treat that any teacher would love. The focal point of this fun treat features a cool chalkboard technique.
To create this fun slider we started with the Mini treat bag thinlits to create our treat bag out of the Real Red cardstock.
I added the stamps from the Letters for You stamp set randomly over the clear block F to create my background stamp.
I stamped the letters all over the treat bag in real red ink.
Next I added tear & tape along the bottom and right side of the treat bag.
I wrapped the bag loosely around the candy bar to make sure I could easily slide it in and out.
Slide the candy out of the bag and give it a good crease along the sides.
This is what the back of my bag will looks like.
I used the 1/8″ handheld circle punch to punch a hole thru both layers of the treat bag.
Wrap 16″ of ribbon around the candy bar as shown and then slide the candy down inside the bag.
Pull the ribbon ends through the holes in the front and back of the treat bag.
Tie the ribbon together with some linen thread. Clip the ends of the shimmer black ribbon as desired.
To create the chalkboard focal point, I stamped the A,B,C letter to the front of the 2 7/8″ x 3 3/4″ Basic Black cardstock in Whisper White craft ink.
I sponged a bit of Whisper White craft ink across the paper and then embossed the greeting from the Cool Treats stamp set with white embossing powder.
Do you think your children’s teachers would enjoy this fun treat?
