Step it up can mean different things to different people when it comes to paper crafting. It could mean elements are stepped up by adding some dimension or added techniques, fun folds and/or elements to step up the skill level of the project.  For today’s stepped up project, I decided to focus on the Casual paper crafter.

Overall the project is fairly simple, so any crafter could create this one with limited supplies, but I added an embossed sentiment and popped the laser cut layer up on foam adhesive strips to add a bit more dimension and introduce one of my favorite techniques…heat embossing. This is a simple technique that creates such a fabulous WOW factor to any project!

  • (2) Laser Cut Paper for layers
  • 3-1/8″ x 1-1/8″ Basic Black cardstock for sentiment
  • 2″ x 5-1/4″ DSP (inside)
