I was recently playing with the Another Great Year stamp set featured in the Occasions catalog while trying to prepare for my May FMN class. Going through the design process can sometimes be a bit of a challenge. I knew what stamp set I wanted to use and I really wanted to use the Silver Fancy Foil Designer Vellum. Sometimes I end up creating several versions before I end up with my final card design.
The first card is on a midnight muse card base, but I think any color would work well. Yes midnight muse is on the retired list and has already sold out. I like how the dark background shows thru the vellum cardstock.
On my 2nd card I decided to make it all white and silver. I changed it up slightly with a silver layer and added the large rhinestones. I was so sad to see these on the retired list as well. I believe these are currently still available.
On my 3rd card I decided to try another image in the stamp set, but wanted to stay with the white and silver look.Yes the fabulous silver glimmer paper is on the retired list and has already sold out.
My fourth card is the one I decided to do for class this month. I was really liking the silver and white, but decided to add some pop of color with the red glimmer paper.
I decided to change the fold up a bit and used the circle thinlits dies. Love how easy it is to create the flip card with this die!
I mis-stamped my greeting a bit on the inside of the card, but was overall very happy with where I netted out.
Hope you will join me for class. Click here for details.
