We are continuing with the Encouragement theme for the Top Ten Winners Blog Hop. I decided I was going to show this via a quick note to let a friend know they are awesome. I hope you enjoy my creation.
For today’s project I am featuring the super versatile images in the Flowering Desert stamp set. Cacti develop their own kinds of beauty, just like human beings. With this stamp set you can easily create your very own cactus plants in all shapes, sizes and colors.
I decided to use one of my favorite layouts for today’s project. I really like the pop of color created with the focal point on the back card base.
The Vellum layer behind the stitched square adds a bit of a soft contrast to the prickly cacti
The texture added with the Subtle embossing folder and twine helps keep a rustic feel to today’s creation.
Card Layers:
- 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ (folded in half) Basic Black cardstock
- 5-1/4″ x 4″ Basic Black cardstock
- 3-1/4″ x 3-1/4″ Vellum
- 3″ x 3″ Whisper White cardstock- die cut with largest Stitched Square
- 5-1/4″ x 4″ Whisper White cardstock (inside)
