A Big Thanks to everyone that was able to come out for my new catalog Open House Party this past weekend. We had a lovely time stamping, checking out the new products and visiting.
Today I am sharing the card each attendee got to make as a thank you for stopping by featuring the Fresh Florals designer series paper stack. This card was inspired by one that was shared with us at the Stampin’ Up! Onstage event in April.
Each attendee was able to choose their favorite in-color for their card as well as the greetings. I had the Thank You from the Daisy Delight stamp set (as shown in my samples) as well as Birthday, Baby or Wedding options from the Special Celebrations stamp set for them to choose from.
Besides being a super quick and lovely card that could be used for any occasion simply by changing the greeting, I love that this card uses strips of designer paper. I don’t know about you, but I love our designer papers and hate to throw any of it away. Layouts like this are perfect for all the small strips we end up with at the end of the pack so we don’t waste any of our paper!
At the Party the Powder Pink was the first color to disappear with the Fresh Fig coming right behind.

When putting this card together I found it easiest to adhere my flat strips of paper to the card front first. I worked my way from the top and bottom edges and then filled in the center.
Each of the strips are cut 4″ long. Here are the widths starting from the top…
- 1 1/4″
- 3/4″
- 1″
- 1 1/4″ (solid cardstock)
I added the 2 solid popped up strips last to complete the card front.
The top strip where I stamped my greeting and tied my ribbon is 1″ wide and the lower strip is 1/2″ wide.
