Wow, I was so excited when I opened this months little red box to see what great surprise was inside. This months stamp set was a photopolymer set, there were 5 really nice quality gift bags, 10 sheets of die cuts, twine, grosgrain ribbon, mini clothespins, a full sheet of dimensional dots and a ink spot! Stampin' Up! has taken an already great value and made it even better.
Today I want to share a few of the bags I made using the supplies in this months kit. I created my first bag with very little change to what was pictured in the kit sample.
I wanted to be sure my letters didn't shift so I adheared them to the bag with the dimensional dots and then added the twine with the clothespins. I just love those cute little clothespins.
I used the Hey There Friend stamp from the welcome kit to create my friend spot in the lower corner of the bag.
I was excited when I realized that the blue tissue that comes in each of the paper pumpkin kits coordinated so well with the colors in this months kit so I added it to each of my finished bags. On my first bag I decided to use the new fringe scissors on the tissue. This worked very well to hide some of the tears I put in the tissue when opening up the kit 🙂
On my second bag I wanted to use some of left over cardstock after I punched out all the shapes to add another design element to the bag. I also tied the knots for the ribbon handles to the outside of the bag just to change things up a bit.
I punched out theses shapes using my 1 3/8" circle punch, stamped and nested the pieces together to create this fun strip across the top of the bag.
I created the gingham look by stamping the striped image twice.
I really wanted to do dots on my third bag. I really think this created a really fun look.
To create all my dots I stamped the image directly on the bag with whisper white craft ink. I used the back of some of the punched out letters to stamp and pop up the smaller circles with the dimensional dots. I used some of left over cardstock after I punched out all the shapes to create the open circles and was even able to punch out the scallop circle for my tag.
I used a couple of the felt balls from the sale-a-bration heartfelt banner kit to tie around the bag handle and used the Hey There Friend stamp from the welcome kit to stamp my tag.
I am so excited to see what great surprises are in next months little red box!
